I think it's interesting that he thinks the goblins are taking babies without his command. You think he would control the comings and goings from the Aboveground. But I can definitely agree that he's like a big kid.

David Bowie's voice is just soo soothing. A voice you could easily fall asleep to, you could never tire or get bored of. The softness yet the subtle tenor sends warmth and shivers along your spine (in very good ways). His personality is just so contagious! No wonder Iman fell in love with him. *sigh* Gone too soon. You will forever be our Goblin King!

This attic’s full of memories for me. We spent all our summers by the seaside and in winter at home, by the fire. Frost on the window and snow. Snowballs and making snowmen. One winter I made a really big snowman and he got this scarf for me. You see, he was a real snowman. That winter brought the heaviest snow I’d ever seen. The snow fell steadily all through the night. And when I woke up, the room was filled with light and silence, and I knew then it was to be a magical day.

The songs in Labyrinth are so mesmerizing. There was a period of time when I was about 4-5 yrs old when I would watch Labyrinth every single day, and I still remember looking forward to it and being excited to see it again every time, and being absolutely bewitched by Bowie's Goblin King. And I still am, more than 30 years later. David Bowie and Labyrinth taught me to seek out what is whimsical, fantastical, or magical in life, and to delight in it.

@@hdjksa52 we will see. Maybe Jareth was taken away at the same age Toby was. Maybe that's how he ended up being goblin king since he's not a goblin at all and is more of a human with some shapeshifting abilities. And btw fans want Tilda Swinton to be in the lead role of goblin king? Are they on crack? You can't have a woman play a king! And even if you could have a woman play a king then the whole script would have to be changed or the movie would never work it would have major lesbian vibes to it. So how do you guys feel about the second movie? I personally look forward to see where it goes. You want a universe to continue, not die out.

I picture Bowie, Henson and Lucas sitting around a table covered in liquor bottles and drugs like that scene in Wolf of Wall street. With Henson slamming his shoe on the table screaming "You're the Goblin King, David! The Goblin King!"
