Great interview! I worked in trauma (all areas) for 6+ years right out of school and it's everything he said it is!

Don't be afraid to get therapy either. I've been doing this 15 years and it helps. Doesn't fix anything but helps you process the grief and deal with loss. Being exposed to this level of trauma and death will change the way you see the world.

Such a great point! We like to think that we’re tough, and can handle anything that comes our way, but we face some heavy things in medicine, and there’s no shame in talking to someone about it!

Hi. I'm not really sure if you are asking about become a Trauma Surgeon, which is a physician, or if you want to work in Trauma Surgery as a PA? Either way, I don't have experience working in Trauma Surgery. Here is a link about how to become a trauma surgeon that might be helpful if you are looking at the MD route. medschoolinsiders.com/medical-student/so-you-want-to-be-a-trauma-surgeon/. If you want to speak to a PA, you could contact Andrew, the PA I interviewed in this video. His email is in the description box below the video. Best wishes on your journey!
