Very clean setup. I like the attention to detail! Where did you find those oversized lights on the roof and trees?
@MilneFamilyLights7 ай бұрын
Thank you! So I found these lights 3 and 4 years ago at Home Depot: www.homedepot.ca/product/home-accents-holiday-13-inch-led-lit-oversize-light-bulb-christmas-decoration/1001127927 You can only get them in store right when they put out the Christmas stuff. I remember getting a bunch on clearance for $3.50 each and some at normal price for $8 each. They come in red, yellow, blue, green, and white. I cherry picked the white ones knowing what I wanted to do with them. They originally come with a single clear LED in them that run off of AA batteries. I took the LED and wiring out, drilled holes on the inside and hard wired 6 pixels in each one so we can use them with our show. Previous to that someone was selling something very similar called "Really Big Lights". They only sold them for a year or two, but that was 5 or 6 years ago.

Noticed the sign to let people choose a song. What are you using to control that workflow?

Hey there, I'm using FPP to run my show off of a Raspberry Pi, and then use a free Plugin called Remote Falcon to allow Jukebox mode or Voting mode so visitors can interact and pick the next song. This was our first year running Remote Falcon and I hugely underestimated how popular it would be for those watching! Check out remotefalcon.com for more info. They also have a facebook page that is really helpful. Reply

Where or how did you make your big C9 bulbs that are in the trees and the one roof line?
@MilneFamilyLights21 күн бұрын
Hey there, I bought those big bulbs from Home Depot 4 years ago or so. They have been seasonal, and you normally start seeing them a few months before Christmas near the front of the store. They come in all different colors, but I bought white so we could put pixels in them. They come with a really weak led that runs off 3 AA batteries. I removed all the original internals, and drilled 6 holes on the interior top plate to house 6 pixels. I then drilled out the bottom of the bulb for the incoming and outgoing wire. It was labor intensive and required a lot of soldering, but we love the end result. If you google RBL or Really Big Lights, you'll find info on a now discontinued product that was very similar to this, and where I got some of the inspiration.

Greetings, I would like to know what lights you have installed. Are they the C9 led WS281 or what are they? Thanks in advance.
@MilneFamilyLights7 ай бұрын
Hi there, yes the bulbs that outline the roof, windows, garage, and grass are all Brilliant Bulbs or Pixabulbs. They area C9 size and are WS2811 protocol. Here is were I got them from www.holidaycoro.com/Brilliant-Bulb-p/709.htm and www.wiredwatts.com/pixabulb6p3-r15
