I believe catalyst browse software is being made available for the Sony A7S3 to further enhance stabalisation.

Test clips from the A7SII already include the enabled option for Catalyst Browse extra stabilization in the current CatBro public release. It includes a handy resolution display showing what the pixels h and V are after you've stabilized with crop.

@@markshirley01 I had an older version of CatBro, I ran the in-program update (about pop up), and loaded some A7SIII clips and they all lit up the stabilize options, which worked when played with.

Do the A7S III files contain gyroscopic meta-data that can boost image stabilization when processed through the Browse tool of the Catalyst software Sony Creative offers? This has been illustrated with the FX9 camera by Mark Bone, Cameraworks, and others. Sony Alpha Rumors (July 25 "Tidbits") and P. Bloom (Aug 2 at 15 min) suggest the feature exists (or will exist) with the A7S III. But where are there any demonstrations? The in-body IBIS with "Active Mode" appears only so-so. The option to shoot run-and-gun without a obtrusive gimbal would be great. Agreed?

Hi, no offence and it's just my opinion. Sony please can I ask what was the point in this video! Again just my opinion I don't feel this qualifies as a short film, it has no story, it's not really dynamic, yea it shows you can use the camera at night and in the dark!. All the things you could do to show this camera off and you show someone walking and standing around!. Apart from the night clips this could may as well have been shot on a mobile phone on a osmo small gimbal!! I love Sony I have tones of your products but this advert was just pointless in my opinion does nothing to show the camera off in an exciting interesting way!.
