How can we imagine student life in the 16th century? An exhibition at three different locations in Jena gets to the bottom of this question and presents excavation finds and insights into ‘Academic life in the early modern period at Collegium Jenense’ - the birthplace of the University of Jena. Dr Enrico Paust, historian at the University of Jena, is leading the excavations as part of the ‘Collegium Jenense’ project and talks in the video about the special features of the exhibits and the challenges the team had to overcome during the preparations.
