I visited Bruce and Brandon's grave today, as I am in Seattle for a few days. The quote that he says at the end is actually on his gravestone. I went to visit the grave and pay my respects and I was amazed by the amount of people who either walked up, or stopped their car in the cemetery to visit the graves. The Crow, the movie, always makes me feel incredibly sad knowing that Brandon was killed. The comic too, for the reasons that drove James O'Barr to create it. I do with they hadn't carried on with sequels and left it as it was. Brandon really shone on this film and he would have gone onto greater things. RIP.

MovieViking my understanding was it was about 3/4 done. With his death they did some reshoots and changed the story some. He was on for 2 sequels and the original ending had him still walking the earth because he had broken the rules of resurrection by helping the living. I watched a whole thing about it was very interesting

Imagine where Brandon Lee would have been today. Especially in Hollywood in regards to Hollywood action movies. He would be a legend today. He still is a legend but oh my Lord he would have had so much accomplished. I know there were a few albeit cheesy movies based on comic books before this one but back then this was the first I ever heard of a movie being adapted from a comic book and it excited me so much. It made me dig into the origins of it and actually pick up some of the comics. Unfortunately I only own one or two today but at least I got something LOL. this ship broke my heart I'm not going to lie I was really young when it happened but I was so looking forward to this movie and then I learned about what happened and I didn't understand it quite yet and then I watched the movie and for some reason at all just hit me and it was the first time I ever actually felt true sadness and melancholy watching a film especially at the end because it wasn't just the end of the movie and/or the character it was the end for this poor actor who lost his life due to negligence. the last time we were never see his amazing skill attributed to film. I swear I get choked up every time I watch it and hear him say "It can't rain all the time." At least one good thing that came out of his death was a very magnify to look at stunts and safety coordination and a lot of different clauses changed so that this wouldn't happen again. It's just a shame we had to lose this talented guy for that to happen.
@shadowdancer53304 жыл бұрын
If he was still alive I think his movie's would go straight to dvd. There's alot of unethical things going on in Hollywood behind the scenes I think there would be very eye opening things for Brandon to see what Hollywood really is. He would get blacklisted like Michael Jai white, JVCD, Gary Daniel's.. list goes on.

Its amazing they completed a film at all. It's a amazing legacy that Lee left behind even more so considering he was just beginning and growing as an actor. Many of the biggest stars today could not have took on this role in there 3rd outing. Looking back and seeing the influence of The Crow on what came after( batman begins and dark knight especially) and where comic books are today his legacy should only continue to grow for quite some time.

Just saw this movie yesterday. Yes it's dark, not for everyone. The characters are all very zany, but you can tell Brandon was getting better at the acting part. He had the physical part down like his dad. But he made you want Eric the man to succeed. You could feel the love and compassion he had for those around him. The end of the movie where Eric basically says he's going to his death got me. Kind of amazing that he could make you feel like he was vulnerable despite killing 100 dudes just five minutes before.

Part of the genius of the original is that the supporting cast shone just as brightly as Brandon did. The villains are truly villainous because the actors were great actors who took their roles seriously. David Patrick Kelly, Ernie Hudson, and Michael Wincott notably, but the minor gang members really stood out because they were awful people, they couldn't have cared less about it, and seeing them get what they had coming was all the more glorious for it. This movie truly was lightning in a bottle, and both the other movies that followed and this new atrocity about to be released upon us have nothing on it. The new one in particular is just Hollyweird yet again showing their complete creative and moral bankruptcy.

Last week I watched this for first time in years. Still so sad the way he died because it was so preventable. Seems like he was able to finish most of the movie. I know there was the scene when he walks into his old apartment where it was done with digital. I noticed when he hugs the little girl that it was only his shadow and the back on him that’s shown. It wasn’t noticeable at first then I rewinded it and then you can tell it’s not his voice. Other than maybe the rooftop fight at the end because I don’t remember many close ups if any, it seemed like the rest was Brandon. Glad they finished it because the movie honors him well.

Someone told me long ago that the lyrics of a song tell a story, the music sets the mood. That's how I feel about this movie. The awesome soundtrack and score really put me into the world of Eric and Shelly. The beautiful love story, the action and revenge plot. People die everyday, natural causes are one thing. Anything else in this world is all human beings that are evil, cruel and have no regard for others lives. This was total negligence, and something that should have never happened and could have been avoided. Tho Brandon is no longer with us, I feel he is in a better place with Jesus and the Angels. He was robbed of the opportunity to marry his fiance and have a wonderful life. I believe his spirit is with us always and he will be in our hearts forever. All the best to Aliza, Brandon Lee's entire family and Rest In Peace. 😢😇🙏

Wasn’t expecting to see this comparison, but the imagery of The Crow’s loft reminds me quite a lot of the one in the new Cruella movie. I wonder if it was inspired by this movie at all.

In retrospect Brandon Lee’s portrayal of the crow inspired Heath Ledgers Joker and John Wick. I could only imagine what he could have done had he survived. I could easily see him doing John wick or who knows The crow is a master piece.
