It was an accident, that never should have happened because it was so easily preventable. They fired the weapons safety expert because they didn't think they needed him anymore. If they kept him on he would have caught the dislodged dummy bullet fragment that was lodged in the barrel of the gun removed it and saved Brandon's life. If they had not used live rounds to make their dummy rounds, Brandon would have also have been saved, If Brandon had be wearing a bullet proof vest like he was when he had been shooting the big shoot out scene earlier where he got shot 20 times he would have been saved, if the actor had pointed away from Brandon when he fired the gun He would have been saved, there were multiple opportunities to stop this tragedy from happening. Brandon died because the people in charge of the production of the movie were a bunch of incompetent idiots.

Really hard to believe this happened, that they let this happen. They told the gun expert he could go home that day, seriously. They let their guard down and he died. Guns are bad, in everyday existence and filmmaking. So very talented, so much left to do. RIP Brandon.
