Thank you for putting this together! We saw the movie last night and everyone loved it. I just ordered the box set of the books. 😅

I hope you really enjoy the books! Glad to hear you loved the movie! I do think people who haven't read the books may like the movie better, and then love going to the books because it gives you more of what was in the movie if that makes sense. Going the other way around, from book to movie, predictably a lot was left out. But I still loved it!

You're welcome! I met the author before he wrote this book, and have the book that's mentioned here, The Curious Garden, signed by him! I think it's easy to think ideas simply come out of nowhere when that is hardly ever the case. Did you get to see the movie? What did you think?

Ended up here after watching the movie and looking for the book. This video is such a gem. I'm actually planning to write a novel, so not only I learned more about "The Wild Robot" but I also learned about the writing process. The story mapping example was very insightful, I was planning to do that, and this validated my idea. Thank you so much for this! ❤

I am so glad to hear all of this and I'm so happy you found the video! Isn't it fascinating to learn about the writing process? I'm so glad Peter Brown shared it on his website; I had to make a video of it to get more eyes on it! Good luck writing your novel!
