Chris Sanders brought me my childhood with LILO and Stitch and How to train your dragon, 2 of the best animated movies.

I saw this in the theater today with my partner and our 2 1/2 year old, and we all absolutely loved it. It was cute and held my daughter’s attention, while it hit my partner and I right in the feels over and over and over again.

Peter Brown is a once in a generation talent, on a level with A. A. Milne. Very wise to reboot all the imagery and not attempt to animate Brown's original artwork. It would have disappointed too many people who already have a relationship with the 2d art. So now there is original Roz, forever, existing as she has for everybody who loves her, and there's also new Roz, a separate creation. I also love that I haven't seen toys from this film yet and I hope I don't.

Chris Sanders so underrated as a director. If he was from Pixar he would get way more recognition. Lilo and Sitch and How To Train Your Dragon c'mon.

Chris Sanders made another stunning winner for DreamWorks with The Wild Robot. And I hate to sound unpopular but Brother Bear was the last good hand drawn movie before Disney moved on full time to CGI!

Very unimpressed with the wild robot. The animal characters were overtly disneyesqe. The story was so humanistic with no spiritual sensibility. It was frenetic almost non stop animated energy that never went anywhere except to me into a gaggy cutesy ad nauseum. This was a souless trite overdone piece. A shame for if it had shown some restraint by a powerful director it may have achieved something of itself. Otherwise it reeked of committee over reach in its artistic direction.
@guzkus126 күн бұрын
The animal characters were hand painted, inspired by Bambi. The entire story was about Roz's spiritual journey. The frenetic energy is just how the wilderness is. It had a lot of soul and thought put into it.
