Boy, I'd love to spend a day just wandering and exploring in there

My dad and his dad used to make the can furniture. They used beer cans which was kind of neat as the different labels on the cans often made unique patterns on the chairs. They used tin snips and a headless nail with a slot cut into it, to fit the strips, driven into a handle and a pair of needlenose pliers. Not just chairs but tables, footstools also. Nice to see others did it and are viewable at Ripley's. Thank you Jacob.
@TheSWolfe6 жыл бұрын
I'd forgotten about these. I had a little purple chair/stool set on my dresser when I still lived w/my parents. I knew they were made from some type of cut, curled tin, but didn't yet catch the can connection. Cool!

what ive always wondered about Ripleys and other places, how do we know these things are authentic? I feel like so many places claim to have such rare items. Not saying i dont trust these places but anyone could be like ya this piece of wood is part of something amazing and throw it in a case. I bet Ripleys is more authentic than some privately owned small museum but ive always wondered because it would be amazing to see these rare objects!!

Awesome tour, Jacob! I love this kind of backstage stuff. Not really sure why people would down vote it...
@Cre80s6 жыл бұрын
Zig Zagman After a certain point, such down votes are not only inevitable but a strange form of compliment, because it's an indicator that the channel is cool enough in KZbin's eyes to be promoted broadly which means people it ain't meant for are wandering in with the majority who end up liking it. It also indicates he has jealous hangers-on, repeat-offenders. So, in truth, to an extent, some thumbs down are a mark of success.

I remember watching him as the host of the Ripley’s Believe it or Not on Sunday nights when I was a kid. I was wondering when I tuned into this channel and your appreciation of all things Ripley if you had ever seen the TV shows with Jack Palance from the 80s and the show from 2000 hosted by Dean Cain.

This video was one of your most interesting up-to-date so far that you've shown but I got nauseous because of the camera moving so fast and up and down back and forth but I know you only had a short period of time and you wanted to cover a lot, too bad you couldn't take more time in there but better some than none.

I see that I am not the only one who gets a bit nauseous when he swings the camera around. It really hits hard if he is in a dark room with florescent lights.
