Oscar Valdez vs. Shakur Stevenson is a fight that needs to take place to sort out this division. We all know that Shakur is the most talented. We all know that this fight is going to be Valdez getting outboxed by a superior boxer in Shakur. Shakur is simply too skilled, too fast, too slick for Oscar. He’s in another class. Valdez is above average. Shakur is elite. That’s just the truth. There’s no punchers chance. There’s no Shakur coming out flat and missing a huge opportunity. None of that. The first 3 rounds are close. Shakur figuring out Valdez. Timing his shots. The next 3 rounds we will see Shakur begin to pick apart Valdez. In the later rounds Valdez’s corner and the ref will protect Valdez from an onslaught of pressure. They will stop this fight. Shakur will prove to us once again that he is the next big thing coming up. He’s a light for boxing. He shows us that skill and defense is just as important as one punch KO power. Shakur has Sugar Ray Leanard-like boxing. Mayweather-like defense. He is the real deal. Fighters know this. Trainers know this. Shakur will become a household name soon. His masterpieces in the ring only secure his destiny to become a great champion. He’s young. He’s talented. He’s oblivious to the bright lights. He performs well under pressure. He possesses traits that you don’t see everyday. For example, Lopez was not ready for his moment when he beat Lomachenko. He did not have the maturity to defend the titles he won. The moment was bigger than he could handle. He got overly confident and lost to Kambosis, a BASIC fighter with a little grit. He a hard worker but there’s no way a true champion could lose to Kambosis. Even though he works hard and has a lot of spunk. Talent wise Kambosis is lacking in all areas. Lopez should have mopped the floor with Kambosis. Instead, he let the moment and his big head cause him to lose the biggest fight of his career and possibly his life. He may never get that opportunity back. I’d say that Teofimo Lopez lost over 50 million dollars from that piss poor performance. He would have been in a position to really make some noise in boxing. Teofimo’s dad and Teofimo himself is to blame. He still seems to have learned nothing. Coming off like a spoiled brat still in interviews. It’s sad to watch. He could have been something had he had the right leadership in place. His father was not equipped to be of any help to his son. Teo needs new people surrounding him if he ever wants to get back to where he was. If he does the work and surround himself with coaches that won’t tolerate his mouth, maybe, just maybe this kid can be a champion. If not, don’t count on it. He’s too into himself. Too bull headed. He thinks he knows it all. He’s just a punk kid. Somebody please tell him and get this kid grounded with some respect and humbleness. He has the skills to really be successful IF he gets an old school trainer and coach to guide him. He should not be allowed to talk to the media without his coach. He needs to be more disciplined. He’s got to give his ALL to the gym and progress. I could make him a champion if he would just STFU 🤬 for awhile and learn. Be humble. ANYWAYS enough about Teo the unhumble waste of talent. Now SHAKUR has a huge ego BUT his skills are sufficient enough to allow him to get away with it. (For now) there will come a time when Shakur will have to show humbleness, good character, patience, maturity. When that time comes I’m sure Shakur will take that step up to becoming a man. Not only a champion but a man.
