Why Caenis is summoned as female is adressed in the FGO Crypter manga Essentially, Caenus, the man, is one who managed to accomplish what he did thanks to Poseidon's blessings. As such, he feels that by being summoned as Caenus, the male, and leaving the original, Caenis, behind, it would be like accepting Poseidon's apology to him. And needless to explain Caenis has not forgiven Poseidon at all.

Caenis announcing their name at the end of Olympus before your final battle with them was so epic. "I am Caenis, the Divine Spirit!" is such an incredibly raw line after all the disrespect the gods showed them.

My personal headcanon is that Caeneus the man, is an absolute boomer brained old man. So manifesting into a woman's body, he doesn't really care that much when people refer to him as she/her because "Well no shit look at me". Calling Caenis she *On purpose* however is a one way ticket to the graveyard. If you call Caenis he however you run the risk of sounding like a suckup which being the old grouchy man he is, he doesn't like either unless you know eachother well, like Kirschtaria, in which he appreciates it.

Like "Justice Bitch" Seryu from Akame ga Kill I disliked Caenis at first, but as we got to know her through Lostbelts and particularly in Atlantis I warmed up to them. I even have them NP 2'ed.

Caenis is my favorite Servant. Period. Full stop. He's awesome. I'm currently working on the long journey of maxing out Caenis entirely: Level 120, Skill 10/10/10 (completed), Append 10/10/10 (completed), Max Bond, even maxing out the Command Cards. It's gonna take me forever, but I love Caenis that much.

What would you say are fate servants that would work best with you in a holy grail war??? For me I say it's either Mordred archer emiya or cu chulainn lancer, not just because I like them but because in terms of fighting style and methods resonate with me. Mordred with her seemingly crude yet effective offensive fighting style, lancer cu with not just his fighting style but his character I think would meld well with him, and Archer emiya with his tactical methods and his jack of all trades fighting style which I still find rather effective.

Not sure how it would fit in with the video but I also wanted to mention Caenis's Bond 4 and 5 lines. The delivery of Bond 4 is very soft for them all things considered and almost seems to be Caenis slipping back to being a woman again. When Bond 5 Caenis talks it seems she doesn't remember that conversation much at all mentioning that it must be some hold over from Caenis. For me it made me understand their ambiguous gender trait in FGO better although I still just use he/him when talking about Caenis.

Caenis and Mordred would definitely get along. Both childishly hate when people point out that they’re women especially when they have traits exclusive to female servants like understanding Fran (Frankenstein’s monster) or being immune to attacks that exclusively hurt male servants. I understand that they don’t identify as women, but they don’t have to be assholes about it
