Is there stretch to this shirt vs. double heavy? Other than the double weight, does the different cotton change much?

It does have a little bit of stretch built in. It's not as tightly knit as the Double Heavyweight tee fabric. Ultimate Pima cotton does feel different from average cotton in my opinion because of its extra long fiber length.

Hello, thanks for the info on an extremely rare cloth. I currently have what has been sold to me as loopwheel tees from Tezomeya, Warehouse and BR, but am definitely interested in yours. One clarification though please - are you saying that all tees that don’t have side seams in size large and bigger are not actually loop-wheel knit? Asking because I know Merz claims to have XL tees in loopwheeled cotton, unless maybe they have side seams as well? I’m confused…

No, that's not what we're saying. To optimize the efficiency of loopwheel knitting machines, they should be in constant operation. Consequently, factories produce stock fabrics that are subsequently purchased by various companies. In Japan, these stock fabrics are primarily bought by local companies catering to the local market. As a result, the size availability can be somewhat small compared to western sizing. Although it is technically feasible to produce wider fabric bodies, it involves recalibrating the machine, which temporarily puts it out of operation. After fabricating the wider material, the machine must be reset to its standard settings to resume the production of regular-sized items. This whole process is time-consuming and costly, making it unjustifiable unless the scale of production can support the machine operating exclusively for that particular size. In Germany, the knitting mill is owned by the clothing brand themselves. This arrangement allows them to produce fabrics of sizes they specifically require for their products.

The measurements are the same as our Double Heavyweight Tees. It's not too slim but not too boxy either. We made the fabric soft so it drapes nicely, but also heavy enough that it wouldn't cling to the body too much.

how does Ultimate Pima compare to suvin gold?

I'd say the biggest difference is that Ultimate Pima is grown in the US by one farm in New Mexico only, and is very limited in availability. In Comparison, Suvin Gold is produced much more widely in India. The fiber lengths are very similar.

Pima cotton is good... But the frequency of the cotton is deciding.... unfortunately no one is talking about this factor😮‍💨 Top of the Top cotton must have at least 110mHz

Our Ultimate Pima Tsuriami uses 100% Ultimate Pima cotton, an American-grown long staple organic cotton. This is different from regular Pima cotton. We don't have the data on the frequency of Ultimate Pima though.

I got mine yesterday. It is beautifu. However, it is very warm in it. I got way thiker T-Shirts and i don’t sweat in it like in this Wonder Loop Pima. For 130€ or is too much Money in my opinion.

@@alexsherel3344 Pockets in t-shirts aren't usable. They're just a form of skeuomorphism. They're all stretchy and over time they become very slouchy as they're designed to emulate shirts pockets but they're not made out of textiles so they don't work.
