Been a Helix fan right from the beginning. Such a heavy band with great tunes. Never got the respect they earned. Still listen to them daily

One of my favorites bands from the 80's and hugely underrated

This video always comes to mind when I think of MTV's Headbanger's Ball. They played the hell out of it, and you couldn't help but sing along.

I agree. I met him and he was just such a friendly down to earth guy. The song still kicks ass today- its an anthem

Summer of '82, Helix had a Beach house (shack) in Port Stanley, Ontario. I was 18 and working the gas rigs on Lake Erie... that was a good summer. Anything else I say may be incriminating to myself and others.

Met Brian at the bank in Kitchener as a 10 year old kid. He lived a few blocks from my house back in 84. I grabbed a deposit slip and he signed it for me in his "Rock You Tour 84" jacket.

This was a great song to sing while swinging on the swings in Grade 4. Love Brian's sunglasses/hat! This is one of the best vids because he doesn't worry that the song is done. He has a lot of stories - he needs to write a book!

The last several episodes all say "Watch as Kim goes Behind The Vinyl" in the description. Did Kim Mitchell stay behind and run the camera for all of these? LOL

I actually went to his grandfather's pig farm with him, in New Hamburg. But I'm quite sure he's from Listowel then moved to Kitchener

They aren’t from St. Catherine’s, though bassist Daryl Gray lives near there. They were a Kitchener based band.

@@glengamble526 I was just telling a buddy of mine they were from kitchener,Ontario. So I work in Toronto, but I always remember my second oldest brother saying they were from kitchener. We lived in Ontario housing on chandler Dr, and they used to practice or live in some grungy looking apts across the street and the highway way was at the back of there building. Anyway great great acts and athletes came out of kitchener, ont.
