I like that TWST isn't about redemption. It's about people discovering their flaws, making peace with them, and growing and changing in a more natural way. I LOVE that the boys don't change all that much from their core selves after their books are over because real growth takes time. Instead they make little efforts here and there while still being true to who they are. They show that growth is happening at a more realistic pace.

Right, I've heard about the red eye bug when the game first came out in JP! Cater's chibi had red eyes even though it was green everywhere else. They later fixed it to be green. Unfortunately, I couldn't confirm if the white rabbit inspired character was actually suppose to be Cater. Yana in the Q&A only stated that there was a character inspired by the white rabbit but it got trashed. Apologies for the reply, didn't want to spread misinformation.

I have a funny idea for a comic that I can’t draw because I’m not good at drawing. In the story, Sophia has a problem, and the amulet she possesses is supposed to summon people to help her. However, instead of summoning a princess, it brings in the dorm leaders, along with the students from their respective dorms. Everyone is confused and wondering who brought them all together, and they look around and see a little girl-Sophia. Sophia is panicking because she thinks she’s done something wrong every time the amulet fails to summon a princess, leading her to believe that she’s cursed. However, she isn’t cursed; the amulet is just fed up with summoning princesses and decides to bring in these characters instead. Despite their initial confusion about why they were summoned, they end up helping her with her problem. Although some of them might be villains, I don’t think they’re really monsters.

Nah, for me it was the Avengers 😂 I never expected a movie about comic book superheroes helped inspire a game about fairy tale villains.

Knowing that Sebek was gonna be more depressed than his loud, bombastic self shocked me. I guess Yana was gonna display his internalized hatred of being half fae half human akin to Minato from P3. Good thing they didn't go that approach or I'd be sad for Sebby more than i already am

I'm sorry this comment kind of caught my eye, in what way is concept-Sebek related to P3 Minato? I genuinely want to know. Is it due to Minato having "death" live inside him? All I know Minato's depression has something to do with an incident in the past.

@myrtle8347 I was thinking mostly of Minato'a depression. Just that part mostly since at the start of P3 he didn't want to engage with anyone due to the death of his parents and being shut out by every foster home that took him in Hope that helps 🙏🏽

One of my favorite aspects of Twisted Wonderland is its story, particularly the reason why the main character is a beastmaster. In the game, it's mentioned that the other students couldn't become beastmasters because they are self-centered and unwilling to work together.

@@Lord_Facilier To be honest, I feel like since Yana, being the author of Black Butler, definitely had some concept of Riddle being similar to Ciel in a way while creating him.

WONDERFULLY DONE VIDEO!! I truly love how you can see that Yana was super dedicated in making TWST.. YOURE TELLING ME SHE REWATCHED THE FILMS AND THEN LIKE SERIES SO IT WOULD FIT OR WORK OUT??? COME ON I LOVE YOU YANA TOBOSO !! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PAYING ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS and making TWST ALL THAT STUFF, it made it super enjoyable for others. It's truly wonderful and inspiring !!!

10:29 I think that's because he wasn't. My theory is that isn't Kalim, but TWST Iago. Kalim is based on the Sultan, who isn't a villain. Iago in the first movie is a villain and Jafar's sidekick. I can see her adding Iago in the first draft because of his ties with Jafar. Plus, if you look at the design, he almost has a confident and serious expression, which would match up one of the movie drafts where Iago was the serious one out of the two. She probably scrapped him and replaced him with Kalim for one reason or another. To be honest, I like the setup Yana has for that dorm now much better. Jamil being the top guy in Scarabia would mean that he has everything that he has ever wanted right out of the starting gate. While fighting off an openly proud and more egotistical version of Jamil would've been cool too, he would've been too OP, lacked any real goals, and not be as nearly compelling as a character. Replacing him with Kalim and giving Jamil the backstory we have now gives his character more direction and lines him up more with Jafar, who was a vizer that wanted more power for himself. I think that you can't have one without the other in regards to this arc. It's not Scarabia without Kalim.

I honestly think Yana based Malleus off Sebastian from her series Kuroshitsuji or Black Butler for you English fans. It makes sense as Sebastian is her favorite to draw and Malleus did become her favorite as well. Both share very similar design traits: hair, eyes, face shape and body proportions. You could argue similar personalities. Ideally I also think Riddle is based on Ciel, but only certain things. The hair and eyes are striking to Ciel's design and shares similar/exact look with Riddle. Both share a "stern by the rules" type of personality, only Ciel is softer and more reasonable. Really I think lot of the TW characters share certain or similar traits to Yana's Kuroshitsuji to the point its fun to point out similarities.

5:06 As more fan of Alice in Wonderland plus my favorite top tier Disney Villain " Queen Of Hearts ", Heartslabyul dorm is one of my favorites I would choose to live in basically the dorm is like Wonderland after all like the Disney classics when Alice arrive at the last stage of her dream which was the Queen Of Hearts Lair Castle & Hedge Maze.

Randomly picked up and started reading the Twisted Wonderland Rore Red Tyrant light novel and wanted to know a bit more about the franchise as a whole. Will for sure be watching more of your videos next! Not sure if I will continue the novel tho but am trying to get more interested!

The lesson of embracing your flaws and accepting them in twst really speaks to. For most of my life (mainly high school) I felt like I couldn't fully be who I was. It wasn’t until I graduated high school, got into college, and got into twst really helped me to be more comfortable with myself and how others view me. Especially when you have no idea what someone else might be going through or having similar problems. Twst will forever mean a lot to me^^

Dudeeee this would’ve been amazing a couple of years ago x33 (2021, i was 15-16 lmao). Back then I tried making some twst ocs (one of them is my pfp here lol), and i was very proud of them and stuff. But like 2 years later i reread their characters and they were too good, even though they were based on villains lol. But again, back when I first created them I was proud x33. I was still pretty new to character creation, and to be honest, I think it was a hard task to make characters not to be liked or to be 100% good. It still is a hard thing to do. But as the years went by and I got more and more into de franchise, I appreciated them more and even empathized with the ones I used to dislike. And again, keeping it in balance of not being goody 2 shoes but also irredeemable is crazy hard, so respect to the writers x33. And respect to you too! Awesome video!

It is kinda sad that Leona didn't get to his fur lined dorm uniform and Deuce his ponytail. They looked pretty cool. (I kinda have adopted the multiple Ortho version of the intial draft for my fanfic. Where Idia has two brothers one is a goth cyborg and attends NRC with him and the other the robot version and stays behind in STYX. He also has a sister who is a robot too. Together the three of them represent the 3 heads of Ceberus.)

I know why it wasn't done, but I would've preferred the show business setting LOL. As much as I enjoy the characters, the main school setting is very boring to me xD TWST is at its best when you leave the premises of the school and go to other places in the extended world. Just my opinion. Thank you for making this informative video.
