With the rise of the Philippine Economy, its corporations who are at the forefront of its growth will surely rise. Do you think San Miguel Corporation will continue to grow with such an environment or will we see new corporations rise? Let us know down below!

I think this presentation could have been made more interesting & certainly more informative. For example, If Inigo Zobel's company owns 41%, who holds the rest of the 59%? Also, how much of SMC is still owned by the Cojuangcos? Two former presidents belong to that family - Corey Aquino (1986-1992) & Noynoy Aquino (2010-2016). Also, you forgot to mention basic information - Chairman of the Board, corporate headquarters, significant international locations, number of employees, etc. These bits of info would have been useful & could be found on their Annual Report, which you've already looked at. Perhaps you can do a part 2?

@mariasimone12312 жыл бұрын
He did expand it worldwide since early 2017. It may not be as noisy as this election's campaigning period in the Phils. is but what amazed me is that 90% of these super wealthy businessmen came from nothing. They are from rags to riches, knowledge that's never been taught in school. SMC, (like SM) is one among the biggest name in the world. I was vey proud seeing SMC products each time I walked into the supermarkets, groceries and restaurants abroad whether it is europe or Southeast Asia. I hope that you make it more in details next time for research is more important from your ends. Like the new intl. airport in Bulacan where Mr. Ang's co project w/ PRRD's build3×. This impossible to fruition project became possible when he shouldered the expenses from the starting point that is no ongoing. The rights of way alone cost him over 30 millions if I am not mistaken. The constructions itself is another thing that cost 100 of millions from the digging and dredging alone. They're just in a flattening stage but gee this billion dollars project would not be in mind if he has no target to penetrate globally. Imagine what the new airport would be created, it generates more income for his business, others businesses that will uplift filipinos standard of living plus the fact that the he is leasing it for 50 long years. Think how much money it will brings to him once the operation started? One of his ways to expand his name globally so yes! he definitely conquer the world of business.

With the country's mission to engage the Private Sectora in nation building thru its PPP program, SMC or Mr. Ramon Ang emerged to be the top 1 contributor. We, Filipinos, must now learn that rich people are very willing to help when our government is not corrupt and not messing with their alloted budget. We saw them also very proud with their projects done on time for the benefit of humanity. Let Philippines fly, let her rise again. Mabuhay po ang mga mayayaman ng Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang Pilipino! Let our counting starts now: 1. Ramon Ang (SMC) - Skyways 2. Manny Pangilinan (MPI) - Bridge 3. Jaime Zobel de Ayala - 4. Enrique Razon - 5. Aboitiz Family - 6. Lucio Tan - Etc..

Great respect to this Filipino/Chinese Man. His heart belongs to the Filipino people. Same with Mr. Sy of SM. From rags to riches indeed. Imagine sewing shoes in the streets, selling them then building a giant corporation. Try also Mr. Lopez. The Zobel corporation probably dated back to Hispanic time. Looking back even during Rizal time. Many Filipino families were rich sending their kids to Europe to study and opened our eyes to reality. The many mansions they left behind says it all.
