Electricity prices in Ph, is expensive like gold still, these projects aren't really making up for the demand thus making more imported fuel like coal, oil and gas.. We have nuclear power plant all we need to do is fix it and then we could run a huge supply and would eventually make the rates way lower.. but Idiocracy is a disease

again. this is a waste of damn time. China had energy problems - did they increase solar panel plants or even tried to introduce it to their people? nah. they increased coal powered fire plants. this is like the green new deal BS america had before. it's just to make money with the politicians' circles. Xi simply didn't want to cooperate with the americans and that's why they're giving them hell now. but this is so inefficient and a complete mess when solar panels are to be decommissioned. have fun with lithium toxic outruns in your waters.

@enigmaticspace7578
@enigmaticspace7578 Жыл бұрын
@@jyrrin It's different in the Philippines because of how shopping malls are they're perceived and the general layout of cities there. In the US, shopping malls are mostly, purely for shopping. In the Philippines, it doubles as recreational areas. The Philippines doesn't have, or doesn't have as much national parks as that of the US for recreation. Even just regular parks, due to how cities are clustered, especially in the National Capital Region, there's just simply no space to make parks. In cities outside of the NCR region, it isn't feasible to build parks because the land is either filled with jungles, or is being used for agriculture. Not to mention that picnics or barbequing in parks isn't widely popular. Filipinos would rather barbeque in their houses and picnics are almost out of the question. Instead of those, Filipinos tend to spend their weekends watching movies in malls, eating out, or just simply spending time there window shopping and almost doing nothing. To take advantage of this trend, shopping malls included actual recreational activities, like bowling, ice skating, etc. Also, Filipinos don't tend to travel around the country unless it's an actual vacation. Unlike in the US wherein you could go north to south and have no problems, that kind of touring culture isn't present in the Philippines. Hence why shopping malls became the go to place for recreation in the Philippines. This not only ensures that shopping malls not only won't die out unlike in the US, but will thrive instead.

However, a new development around the world have made it Solar Energy Agree Farm where underneath the solar panels , the farmers also planted vegetable crops. The higher your mounting istallation the higher risk to be blown away during typoons, difficult to maintain or clean the panels and higher power loss....this solar power system will only work during sun hours because it doesn't have storage system at this time...i think it's because of the higher cost of storage....lithium batteries is very expensive and will last at an average of about 5000 cycles

This is good per se, since additional power source that is not petroleum based, pero yung malalaking solar farms sa US, ang naging finding, loss of habitat for some animal species, also, consider potential floodings with the loss of plants and vegetation for the area cleared away to put up the solar panels. so wala na natural flora to soak up the water, retain the soil, etc. etc. basta ba lahat yun nabigyan ng konsiderasyon for the long run.

philippines have scarcity of land, in fact most agricultural products are now imported such as onions, rice etc. ..i wish the solar business investors will make good use of the land not just for solar, but for agriculture - solar combine called agrivoltaic solar farm; or livestocks grazings with solar farms, in that manner the land which is already scarce will be used dual purpose for energy and food consumption to its starving populace.

I am not philliphines, isn't it bad for Philliphines? Philliphines has relatively small land and archipellago, means: 1. It will take a chunk amount of usable land for agricultures or manufacturing 2. It will be hard to spread the grid power between the island 3. Power production is unreliable especially if you see the geographical location since Philliphines will get a lot of storm. Personally, I think they should focus on water based power. Imagine if they can make use of tide. At night sea level is high, use it for filling the dam. At day, use the water to generate electricity. Now back to solar, by then, it can be used together with a dam. In a day where it is too bright, excess energy can be used to run the pump to fill the dam or desalinate sea water
@dickmelsonlupot7697
@dickmelsonlupot7697 Жыл бұрын
It is indeed somewhat bad but it just depends on what you compare it against and it's only viable for a small area in the Philippines. And no, contrary to what you think, water based is bad for us. For one, we don't have that many rivers and the ones we have aren't that viable to build a big dam. Plus dams are very destructive to the environment. Tidal power is also still in it's experimental stages and isn't viable yet for commercial use. The best bet for the country is nuclear if we want huge power output in one go and is a best bet as a stable base powerload while other options like solar, wind or geothermal would help in powering other areas that nuclear can't reach.

This should be stop the 2500 hectares of land which will be the site of this Project is a FARMLAND , an irrigated farmland that by laws prohibits to be converted into industrial business, Nueva Ecija is Rice Granary of the Philippines, 80-90 percent of rice production is in this province. Surely that politicians colluded to this private sectors, vast of an irrigated and unused lands that this project should be constructed not in Nueva Ecija.

Wow that space should be used as a farmland. Philippines can't even make food for it self. Used to export rice now Philippines is importing rice fron Thailand and Vietnam. That's the problem with solar power, it needs a huge area in order ti produce significant power. Wind power is much better.

Filipino businessmen always promise big, i still remember Double Dragon that promises 200+ malls , or Dito , or HVN, mining stocks, and a lot more, why? to pump stock prices. There is a reason why big companies are not yet going all in on solar, it's because there are still a lot of going on with the technology, imagine buying solar panels today, then after 3 months a new material that is 10% more efficient, or 10% cheaper comes out, you'd be already in a big disadvantage. New exciting solar tech is coming in the next 3 yrs, so better wait.

That's funny. Been listening to the Philippines claiming to be the raising tiger for the last 15 years. It's getting worse not better. The electricity is unreliable and one of the most expensive in the world.I am currently paying P20,000 ($400) a month for electricity. City water is substandard there is not enough supply and very low quality. Trash collection is also unreliable with no schedule, You have to have a dog who barks when they try sneak down the street Supermarkets are poorly stocked. No school bus system to pick up the children for school, The poor have to pay local transportation to get their kids to school. It is a question do we pay for our kid to go to school or eat so millions of kids do not get a education or a future outside of begging or looking for plastic and metal to sell. The waterways are filled and polluted with trash. The city dumps are overfull so people throw their trash anywhere and everywhere.There are 2 classes in the Philippines Rich and Don't matter. I could do this all day but at the end of the day the reality is the Philippines is failing not raising.
