There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.
New episodes Wednesday and Friday with backlog episodes on Saturday until we catch up.

I _just_ finished part two and went, "I wonder when part three will be out." I also love how so many people freak out, talking about how sacrilegious the imagery of Nas and Diddy being crucified is. Like, there were maybe three significant dudes that were crucified by the Romans. Do these people have any idea how many thousands of people the Romans crucified? Diddy and Nas being crucified, while certainly a striking image, is no more sacrilegious than being beheaded by a guillotine. Lastly, I can't help but wonder where Diddy's... Uhh... House servant Farnsworth Bentley came into all this.

I used to live down the street from the Justin's in Atlanta from 2004-2008. Every time Diddy or other stars were supposed to be there hundreds of people would show up, and those denied entrance woukd filter down into my apartment complex and break into cars and garages. There was also a 24 hour barber shop up the street from Justin's that was a front for a fence who also ran girls out of the back room.

I can be honest when I say that it wasn’t until I had a son that my ideas on “mentorship” of young impressionable boys changed. Being a woman and a victim of SA, I obviously don’t trust men with young girls, but I, like many didn’t see anything sus with a teenage boy spending time with an adult man who held “opportunity for success” over that boy, until I had and raised one myself. I didn’t trust anyone with my kid and everyone was a predator! The problem is, that the more time that goes by, between the churches and entertainment industries, it appears my hyper-paranoia will well founded!

Big fan of the podcast. That said… The way Robert and Will talk about the assault of women by Diddy vs the assault of a man by Cuba Gooding Jr is such a stark contrast. They are so matter of fact when discussing the assault of a woman, and became so heated when discussing what Cuba Gooding Jr did. I just really wish men could muster that same visceral outrage when it comes to women being violated. Not just in a “yes that is objectively terrible and disturbing” kind of way, but in a way that shows real stomach churning disgust, and genuine empathy, like they can actually imagine what it must feel like to have that happen to you.
