I've been a bouncer since 1991. There's few things that scare me more than when a promoter or club owner oversells a place. That shit makes my blood boil. Being a bouncer for hire, I've also worked the door for a shitload of house parties. Being a 6'6" guy who is build like a bulldozer, and an impossibly mean-looking face, I have found that being super nice to people while looking like a monster is really effective. then the cops show up, and I have to convince them to maybe come back in 20 minutes... Then I have to be the "Yo, the fuzz are on the way!" guy. Protip for throwing a house party that gets raided by the cops. Keep your keys in your pocket. When the cops show, scatter with everyone else. Then claim you weren't even home, and you don't know what the hell happened. It worked in the '90s. Though with bodycams and shit like that, probably not as effective now.

I've been in a situation like that a few months back. The bouncers were letting more people in past capacity also be scalping the cover fee. I was so uneasy in there and left with my friend. Five minutes later me and my buddy were smoking a cigarette outside, there was the biggest inside spilled into the street. Something like 20 guys were throwing hands, bouncers too were fighting, cop there genuinely didn't know what to do. The bar is notorious for doing that didn't find that out till afterwards. I'm with you willing to risk someone dying a horrific death for a few thousand extra.

Crowd rush situations are... phobia-inducing. I was in a riot, jostled about in this liquid-yet-solid sea of people, tossed about, unable to move myself under my own power. It feels breathless. I'm not sure if there actually *is* less oxygen available due to all the people breathing heavily, or it just feels that way, but it sure does feel that way. Combine that with, every breath you take you get jostled partway through, making you tense up in unexpected ways and have to brace yourself, which makes you want to gasp in shock... yeah, you feel like you're about to asphyxiate. It's far scarier than just facing off against some hateful people. Maybe there's something to be learned in that: the sheer mass and weight of panicking, stupid humanity is far more terrifying than the thin line of actively malicious monsters trying to egg them all on.

I grew up really poor in the US. There was a trend where people were sharing their poverty meals from their childhood and I didnt share with the meme. My poverty meal growing up was a rice and chicken gruel we kept adding water to, and that we kept until it was fermented a few times. It was like... Pease porridge nine days old. To be clear, I still really like that meal, just maybe not after having been reheated so many times it starts going bad. Lol.

(And my uncle can also confirm: Biggie was just about to sign to Lance “Un” Rivera’s label by the time he was killed). One fairly dark bit of tea I can recall from a decade ago: Allegedly, he kept Jennifer Lopez strung out on ecstasy when they were together, and as with the rest of his partners was very abusive. (Apparently she & Misa Brym-Hilton fought back, although Kim Porter nearly killed him in self-defense).

Make thousands of songs, but barely release any of it very inconsistently, and then do absolutely nothing to promote yourself beyond a few lazy social media posts; before you eventually quit most social media, and leave no way for anyone to get a hold of you even if they did want to give you a shot.
