The absolute best of British filmmaking. Nobody does it better. Also a salute to the Camera Operators during the pre title sequence, top top shelf technicians.

I just watched this on Prime the other day and it blows my mind that set at Pinewood. I can’t imagine the cost it must have taken to build it ! Of course, it wasn’t much after this that the Pinewood studio burned down (1984).

I've always like the underwater chase scene and always wanted to know a bit more about the guys who played the frogmen and how they did those really dangerous underwater scenes and how they achieved the effects.

Jon Auty - i love you; I been after the names of the skiers for SO many years, and of course - you have them. However - i always believed that John Eaves was Roger Moores double. And i have also read something about Jake Lombard beeing involved. So wrong i was...

when Bond smacks the baddie's hand to make him let go of his tie, he falls to the ground, and Bond says, " what a helpful chap".......I always thought that was a below par witticism , I thought he could have said something playing on the word tie, like " time to cut all ties".....or " don't let me tie you up"....or...." I never like to be tied down" or something like that ;-)

Was it true that ski scene cinematographer Willie Bogner skied backwards with the camera between his legs to film ?
@behindthestunts3 жыл бұрын
Yes he did, not as much on this picture but certainly on OHMSS. He was a genius at creating new ways to film action on skis
