Hey Scott - Very interesting. Nice to see the 2500 in action. I have Mr B's 960 sequencer. They're all very cool but they really should have put in a quantizer! Love the demo riff - super lift when the 2nd arp comes in 👍

Hi Ian, thanks. Not sure about the quantiser, I kind of like authenticity of not-quite-dead-on pitches. Besides when you’re sequencing anything other than pitch, quantisation isn’t really wanted. 😎

@@ScottAmpleford Well the Quant would have an Off button 😊 It just makes it so much easier and faster to set up pitch sequences. I'm guessing they hadn't thought of quantisers back then 😄

@@IanWaugh You’re right, of course. I’m afraid I don’t know much about the technology to know how feasible a quantiser would be back then. Still, I have my Beatstep Pro or MIDI from my DAW for quantised sequencing. These retro beauts are all ability the loosey-goosey analog goodness for me 👌☺️

This is top material for video games, music in general and even this reminds me Susumu Hirasawa.

Really interesting piece of kit. A full reproduction Behringer 2500 would be awesome. And a lot cheaper that the original.

I think they’ve released all of the 2500 modules now, so it’d be possible!

@@ScottAmpleford I have dreamt about the ARP 2500 ever since seeing it in Close Encounters in 1977. May be one day when I can afford it I’ll get the recreation.

Very cool! Do you power the Neutron with the CP1A? I have an extra CP1a (bought one too many! 😆😆) and am thinking of building a mini-rack. Yours is very inspiring!
@ScottAmpleford2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff, no the Neutron is intact with it’s own power supply.
