The thing about the S trig is you can use a foot pedal with it which means you can use it to sweep a filter say by pressing the foot pedal. I have 2 of these and they’re very good.

Thanks for the feedback Andy! That's super interesting. Anywhere on the web where I can read on that?

I did that same S-trig to V-trig modification to a Multimoog a couple of years ago. The problem though, is that I was no longer getting multi-triggering. If I slur two notes together I still want to hear the full articulation of the envelope. I wonder if other people experience the same thing. I ended up undoing the mod, and putting it back to S-trig and setting my Doepfer Midi converter back to S-trig mode and now I get the multi-triggering I want.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately no help here - I just use it in a one VCO setup. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the Video. Would it also be possible to just modify the Modul. So basically not soldering a cable, but just soldering on the Modul itself ? Kind regards

Hey Kevin! I guess so... But I'm pretty much on the simple side of soldering things... But if you can find the and access the right connection print on the pcb it should be possible to solder the resitor somewhere there... However, it's going to be tricky. And if you are not expert level, it's super easy to damage the module. So the cable is the safer path 😬

You can also get the Behringer 961 Interface Module for the 911 and the 911A. The 961 will convert the S-Trig to V-trig.

Totally right! But as @Matt just said: its a couple of more bucks from the safe, plus more rackspace used. So the question for this is: do you need/use the rest of the 961's options/tools. But yes: that's the one I was thinking of in the video (and didn't find the name). Obviously I went for the DIY option :-)

I know it probably doesn't matter, but is it a 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt resistor?

Don't know from the top of my mind. But please take a look in the description - there is the link to the video how to build it!

Hi ! I would like to know what happen if I just plug a normal trigger into s-trigger ? Nothing happen ? I’m a shit in soldering.. but I would really like to get some Behringer modules without having to get the big one which makes the conversion ? Thanks you your video is very useful for me.. I was about to buy it ... 🙏🏽

Happy to help! The soldering is really easy - you can do it! For what happens with normal trigger input: This is how I started, because I simply didn't get the S-Trigger thing (and the documentation is very short). So I just plugged in my gate out from my Analogue Solutions EKG. And there was something coming out. But quite unpredictable and unstable. Was driving me nuts. Until I found the S-Trigger expanaition. So I wouldn't say that nothing is happening if you put in a normal trigger. But the things that happen are not the ones you want :-D And it seems very dependend on the singnal voltage. Even super slight differences make a difference - my second EGK did do nothing to it... So you need the S-Trigger to get it going properly.
