I play thru a Fender Rumble 200 combo amp and am looking to buy this to add to my pedalboard to keep it on all the time. I like all of your settings on the eq but I would add a hair at 4.5k. What is your opinion as far as using this on a pedalboard for live gigs in 3 piece rock band just to help tone n sit in the mix better? Thanks

I am currently gigging using mine on all the time with a Keeley Bassist pedal and a Sansamp Bass Driver preamp. Dropping the 50 Hz and adding some 120 Hz brings out the bass without conflicting with the kick drum, assuming the sound guy is boosting below 100 Hz and dropping above 100 Hz on the kick. With a 3 piece, you only have one guitar, so you won't have as much trouble conflicting with those frequencies. I would try having your guitarist get an EQ pedal and experiment with dropping the guitar below 150 - 200 Hz. I like the slight boost at 800 Hz on a P Bass. Ultimately, the exact setting could change from room to room, but that's probably a good starting point. I'm sure there are folks who disagree with my opinion. Hopefully someone will see this and offer an alternate opinion for you to concider. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

Straight at the start, you are mistaken,connect that to an amp, before its own overdrive it does nothing.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I know you are trying to teach me something here, and I do want to learn it, but I do not understand your comment. Keep in mind, I'm playing bass without any overdrive or grit from the amp I normally play (It's an Ampeg RB115 and I don't use the dirt circuit) I think I remember Josh over at JHS talking about putting EQ pedals before overdrive or distortion pedals to change the sound, but I'm not aware of this chain causing an EQ pedal to have no effect, just a different effect. I definitely hear a difference and am able to get what I want from my gigging amp, as well as the DI signal I used in the video. Do you recommend using this pedal in an effects loop instead of the chain? Everyone makes mistakes, including me, so if you could set me strait with a more detailed explanation, not only would it help educate me, but the other viewers who see this thread in the future. You video on re-setting the installed preset voices on the Blackstar Amp was really good. I subscribed.

@@rockoutvideography91 Sorry we got off on the wrong footing there, I have seen lots of videos of eq, that have it after the effects, I didn't realise you bass guitar, into my blackstar I struggled to hear any change, especially with the hiss. I was trying to point out in certain situations they useless, I now have an nux pedal, I use the drive and tone and presence on that into clean channel, that has given me the sound I want and more control than the eq into my drive channel, please forgive my approach, am losing my home here, am on edge. No wrong footing assumed on my end. I learned in my previous carreer not to read any negative intent from people's written communication such as email and text. I’ve an old RAK Delay from 1990 - even cheaper plastic than Behringer. Still in perfect working condition to this day. The whole plastic thing is just snobbery.
