Today I review the budget $25 dynamic microphone, the Behringer BA 85A. This is a copy of the Shure Beta 58a, and it’s an interesting cheap alternative. It has a super cardioid polar pattern to increase background noise rejection, but it suffers from bad plosive rejection, handling noise, and resonant frequencies. Still for $25, it’s an incredible option.
