I had the MX8000a board. Absolutely loved it. Bought it in 1999. Wanted this one too, but wasn't stocked at the time. Days before in the box was a norm. Loved it.

I got this beast for dirt cheap, it's a great mixer, makes recording in the studio easy and stress free. I use it for the pre amps and make great headphone mixes

I own a MX9000 and have used it alot for large venue sound reinforcement primary capture & mix. I find it to be about the best with it's meter bridge and all its flexibility on location. I run it with a 32 X 4 snake direct from the stage. This board is not for true beginners but, for good seasoned pros who know what their doing. If you can find one used, Get It !

this board is lightyears ahead of its pricetag. Do not listen to the naysayers. If you were lucky enough to own one of these you got a killer bang for your buck.

@rampagetv We all know Behringer makes some real cheap shit. This was not one of them. This thing is a workhorse, and I know a school that use these boards in the school. Image wise I try not to be fooled by over priced stuff. But I hear where your coming from. There are a few other suprising Behringer products as well.

@BillyMiraComedy True true. I still like to stay away from it as far as I can because of that name. Still gonna use three BCF2000's in my new setup, since they don't have audio going through them, they're just controllers. I own a studio so I'd rather not have Behringer on my gearlist, it doesn't exactly attract customers. Indeed the still make some surprisingly good stuff here and there. For example the BCF2000 is great for the money.

oh and hell no , old means bad in behringer ... like old Kia cars ... the new x2442USB is 2 times better in quality than the old ... like i didnt even notice before but when you turn up the headphones in the old behringer stuff there is hiss .. not in the New stuff .. its a world of difference , not to mention the tap tempo effects that have adjustable parameters n stuff , and the built in usb interface is actually usable now

@BillyMiraComedy It's not so much that every Behringer product sucks, rather Behringer has developed a name as a company that makes crap electronics. For this reason, it's perfectly fine to experiment with it and use their equipment for your own use. However when you have a studio that you rent out (as a service, not just the space) like me, then you want to stay away from brands like Behringer. They make some good stuff, but it's just not so good for your image.

Hi. I have purchased a boxed brand new mx 8000 with meter bridge, so it's old but brand new for my studio it's perfect in every way ". But I was horrified!!! At the PSU"? The incredible temperature it ran at. WOW 😲. I removed the silly gauze. Removed the 24 volt fan. Which constantly runs like a jet engine. ". Replaced it with a 12 volt. And also noticed it does nothing for cooling as the the heat sink is in the rear. And I bet I could have lit a cigarette on it" so i fixed a 12 volt fan there as well firing in wards in the blades of the heat sink " half way along. Pinched mains from inside to feed a 0-12 volt variable PSU with display only a few pounds in e bay , and at half speed, it keeps the heatsink totally cool. As I know every break down is fried voltage regs. I drilled two holes and fixed the unit on the front. Looks great as well with the voltage display " and runs quiet, at half speed with two fans , especially when recording, just thought I would let you know. I'm an electronics engineer, and I'm baffled why they designed this thing to fail ". Very odd

im just going to keep stacking my XENYX X2442USB ... over and over for $300 adding 4 Aux sends , FX unit , channels every time ... because i dont want the Meters and dont need or want to be mobile with anything bigger than a X2442USB , this way you get 64 channels before you spend $1,400 the price of this 48 channel mixer .
