Great video! I would like to know if the circuit design details, such as the schematics in the video, are still available.

There's a brilliant collection of shematics available here: www.guitarfool.com/ARP2500.html

Is the noise necessarily a bad thing? It could double up as a noise generator!

Thanks for the video. I have this module and though its great I notice that there is a significant TIC sound at the start of every opening of the VCA - You can still hear it with no input connected. Is this what you meant by noise - or were you referring to background continuous noise? I'm wondering if mine has a fault?
@synthesizer832 жыл бұрын
I was referring to the background noise, but my module also makes the "tic" sound you describe when I apply a gate (or any fast rising cv) signal to the VCA. Many VCAs do this and it's pretty normal, you can even use it as a musical element. Only the vactrol based modules don't do this, they are much slower in their response to cvs.

303 is a 24dB diode mate 😉
@synthesizer832 жыл бұрын
You're probably right, but I read somewhere that it is 18dB in practice and 24dB in theory. Look at this filter diagram here: www.sequencer.de/synthesizer/threads/tb-303-filterantwort.107220/ You can see at the yellow curve that it's closer to 18dB than 24dB.
