I've had this module for a little while now and use it all the time. A very handy unit to be sure. The intermodulation is a nice feature. Driving one LFO with another one. Cool. Thanks for uploading another great video!

@@ozhalljr Oh my Oh my !!! I also bought the Abacus / Chaos and Victor I also added the Model D into the bottom Tier and then added the Behringer K2 MK 2 just at the side and boy Oh boy with the Four LFO synced - Wow . I managed to Sync all via Logic Pro and different Midi Channels . Thank you for your inspirations that in turn make me see how far I can push the System 55 and my own creativity

Hi O.Z.! Once I realised that the firmware for this was open-source my reluctance to get hold it fell away. I have just ordered one and expect it will liven up the modulation in my rack a lot. Thanks for going through the modes in such detail. It's been very helpful!

Thanks for the great primer to the Four LFO. I'm confused by what's going on at 10:50 when you are saying you're running trapezoid, triangle, sawtooth, etc waveforms from the four channels. As far as I can tell, we can only set one of those assign waveforms at a time, so I'm curious, how are you running all four assign options at once? Thanks O.Z.!
@ozhalljr3 ай бұрын
Chris, you're correct that only the Trapezoid waveform is output from the Assign section (on all four LFOs) @ 10:50. Go back to 10:00. I have four VCAs whose audio inputs are different waveforms from the same oscillator. Note the color coding of the cables for the input, output and control (they are the same for each VCA). The colors are associated with the four 921 waveforms. So the cables I'm pluggin in at 10:50 are associated to the control inputs of the four different VCAs. Note that I'm in "Quad"rature mode on the Four LFO. So what I'm doing is "morphing" from one waveform to the next, in sequence in this example. I hope that helps. O.Z.

@@ozhalljr that's very helpful O.Z., thanks. It's always challenging for me to follow a tutorial on KZbin, being relatively new to it all, because the author always has a different setup than I do, and often you can't see a lot of the modules that are actually in play. So your color coding is really helpful. As I set up a facsimile of your example, I just went ahead and ran 4 different waveforms from different oscillators to recreate your scenario and had fun experimenting from there with various voltage sources and patterns going to each signal entering my VCA. The Batumi, er, Four LFO, has so many possibilities I'm a little overwhelmed by it, but that process of decoding a new module is one of my favorite aspects of synthesis. Thanks again! I'm looking forward to exploring more of your content.

This module is a ripoff of the The Xaoc Batumi, but not the one you flashed at 0:09. That one is Mk2, a much improved and expanded version with new features and extended range up to full audio. It offers various variants of random, noise waveforms, advanced synchronization and frequency multiplication. It can be used as polyphonic VCO with wavefolding and DX-7 style FM.

@@MishaKosenkov because Behringer is a global behemoth who can afford hundreds of thousands $ for a legal battle, and xaoc is a small company who can't.
