Yooooooooo, that sounds sooooooo GOOD! Stoked for you! I had a thought earlier today in the car running errands. Do you know if the 962 sequential switch module from the Moog series would work with the 1027 to essentially achieve a 24 step sequence? It should be as easy as patching 1027 abc outs and then gate position 8 out to the switch right? Again, what an awesome patch! Can't wait to see what else you come up with in future videos :)
@TheMachinesWon2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, thanks for the positive vibes, they’re much appreciated! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 you’re absolutely right about the 962 I used to have that set up but I’ll be honest I needed a refresh and that would be the exact method, using gate 8 to switch between seq 1-3. It should def work tho! I kinda miss my 960 now haha. It had skip step which I wish this one had. Glad u enjoyed the patch though, I’m happy with this setup and looking forward to see where I can go with it 😄

@@TheMachinesWon so I have the barp 2600 but am not sure to go into this realm…how much roughly would I be looking to invest and what benefits are there compared to just pairing my 2600 with like a neutron and a couple other semi modular like a neutron?
@TheMachinesWon2 жыл бұрын
@@fluorophoremusic3679 I think you would get a lot out the 2500 set if you set out to get like one of each module to pair with the 2600. I have the blue meanie myself and I use them very differently. If you were only going to get 3-4 modules and then branch out I’d recommend the mix sequencer, the 1047 filter, the sample and hold and then you could get any osc/vca/eg you wanted. But if you got one of everything it’d be a great duo. I think the 1047 filter will sound better than the neutron. The stuff you can do with the mix sequencer will be fun and experimental too. You will come up with stuff you wouldn’t normally play/program.

Yeah, I use this system for exploration mainly. In this instance the patch was pretty basic but I agree, patching takes time and sometimes that’s the fun. The results tend to be “mixed” but sometimes it falls into place. My more “typical” setup is geared towards more traditional jams whereas the modular is way less immediate and less focused around being a full track. Thanks for the kind words and the comment! 🙌🏼🙏🏽

When I see someone with a Moog Grandmother I just think they are a newbie or Gucci bag fashion hipster...but when I see Behringer I have the highest level of respect because that is the smartest company you can spend money on. Behringer is my #1 company today, they are a titan of analog and it only keeps getting better with so many new analog synth announcements you can barely keep up.
@TheMachinesWon2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’m really excited for the UBXA, that will be a dream synth to own since I don’t have 10k for the original :)
@mshrm_music2 жыл бұрын
fuck off corporate shill. behringer's business model of cloning synths still in production is predatory and only hurts the synth industry in the long run. a "titan" should well be able to pay for their own R&D on those products.
@middaymeds2 жыл бұрын
Awesome video! But just a note to Behringer modular enjoyers: please don't buy clones of units that are still in production. I live near Moog in Asheville and I've had some friends who work there worried that Behringer could potentially cut their profits significantly just by copying all of their best sellers. I have no problem with y'all buying the impossible to find 2500 modules but when it comes to stuff like the Edge and the Model 15, please just buy the original so the people who created those products have the leeway to keep creating new and inventive synths. I know it's a tempting option in the short-term, but in the long-term it has the potential to put the most creative companies in electronic music out of business. And nobody wants that outside of Behringer.
