Behringer Moog Grandmother waveform sound comparison 2500 series 1004 oscillator module

Hi all, I was wondering how the waves of the Moog Grandmother compared to the Behringer 2500 series 1004 OSC module.
The raw sound going straight to the mixer, no filter or FX.
Muting the channels from one to the other. When there is an A on the screen it is one manufacturer and when there is a B on the screen it is the other.

Nice one, Tim - very interesting. I confess I did get it right - as I should have done 😌 The Moog sounds slightly fuller and the Behringer wobbles as bit 😄 But in a mix, as with all comparisons, I doubt anyone could tell 🤔

Hi Ian, thanks for indulging, I can hear a slight difference in some places, but wouldn't have known which was which, and I'm using them all the time :)

The differences are minimal, one has to listen very carefully. My guess had been right though - but it was only a guess... Thanks for the suspenseful comparison! ☺️

Easy to guess the Moog (but not to be 100% sure) One of them at least needs a tuning calibration....that would be another difference. Some of the Moog oscillators I use are so in tune I suspect some kind of digital trickery....but they sound analog so....

come along now both seem to have pwm at diffrent points so its impossible to tell 😉its such a varied spektrum so heres a guess A

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean, the wave's went straight to the mixer, so I presume they were raw. I'm no expert, I did what I thought was a fair way to do it, and wasn't trying to favour one over the other. Cheers for listening. Tim. :)

They sound different, as they should. Why dont use the behringer moog clones next time, that would be interesting

Hi yes, that was my intention at the time, but I thought it would be more straight forward to us the 1004 because I could just flip the switches for different Wave's instead of re-patching cables, forgetting the 1004 is modelled on the ARP series :) Cheers for watching.
