Awesome! I watched your tutorials on the sledge even though I don't own one, and now I'm watching this even if I don't have a neutron.

You'd be amazed how many people get stuck and think they have a broken machine because they can't figure out how to make the first patch. It's the standard question on a Neutron forum I subscribe to.

Great work David Thanks. I have a question. On the back side there is an audio input. It is External output 1/4 " unbalanced. 100kOhm impedance..Can I use this connect my elctr. guitar or pocket operators or the korg mini synths like monotron or sound from my pc or smartphone?

I think mine might have issues. I've set it as indicated in your vid, but it sounds nothing like yours it sounds like a cheap tone generator. I updated the firmware OK and downlaoded the Neutron app, but that won't connect. I tried loads of different patches from other people and got the same results I just get feeble, flat, lifeless tones out of my machine :-(

Thinking about buying one. Should I? Is it good quality?
@TheDeliverator4 жыл бұрын
Just got mine a week ago and I love it. If the gaudy red color throws you off you can get all kinds of good quality overlays that really improve the layout/visuals, and it’s easy to DIY the install. For $300 it’s really hard not to justify owning at least one. A friend of mine has 3 integrated into his modular setup, and has had generally great results

decay in env 1 doesnt match the diagram above

You are correct - my mistake! Because the sustain level is on max then the decay setting won't make any impact!

HOW IN THE HELL DO I LINK MY KEYSTEP TO THE NEUTRON THEN TO MY INTERFACE TO HEAR IT THROUGH MY MONITORS?????????? Sorry Im yelling but I spent all this cashola and Im going nuts. I can get sound with headphones into the Neutron, but thats it lol. HELP!!!!!!!!!
@RafaelMartinez3274 жыл бұрын
You can connect the keystep to the neutron via midi or using the CV outs in the keystep. If you're using CV, connect pitch out from keystep to OSC1+2 input on Neutron which will send pitch info to both oscillators. Than, connect keystep's gate to both e.gates on the input for the Neutron either by 1) using the in of the mult and the two outs of the mult or 1) using a stackcables from the gate output to both e.gate inputs. This will provide gate information to both envelopes. There is an output for audio on the back of the Neutron that connects to your mixer/interface.

I might take some hate for this.. but that Tomita record is bloody dreck - with one bizarre exception. It's just track after tasteless track, UNTIL... The Engulfed Cathedral, which is a truly beautiful, lyrical and masterly rendered piece, totally out of place on this stinking heap of a record. Just not sure what to make of it.
