Great review. I totally agree with you on how to run your gear. If you process your sound through your rack (BBE, EQ, Crossover etc) this amp kicks even harder!! I have the NU3000 and have used it for almost 1yr now without any problems. It pushes my 18"s hard as hell! Some others hate on Behringer amps but the iNuke series seems to perform very well. Plus when you think about it we are not going to push 3,000w or 6,000w on a wedding gig but it's good to have plenty of headroom when needed.

I'm very satisfied with the iNuke. Had for over a year now. In that time, our band has done roughly 60-70 gigs from very small to very large venues. Very powerful and reliable amp. We use it to power our Yamaha monitors (12's & 15's). Haven't experienced any problems yet. The audio quality is great. Put it in the rack the day we received it and it has functioned perfectly with no problems or down time so far. The inuke replaced an old Peavey CS-400, another 'ol' reliable' amp that lasted well over 20 years. The inuke is so much lighter in weight than the old CS which makes getting it to and from gigs a breeze. I will very likely buy another and absolutely yes, I would recommend this amp to other working professional musicians like myself.

Hi, I own 10 nu-6000 amps for my system. I have had zero problems with my system with these provisions... To run a max volume system you must use compression and then a limiter to control the max input to the amps. If you over drive the input to the amps you will make them shut down. It's also important to use proper eq and compresson on your sub amps. You can run louder and cleaner. Digital amps are designed to be operated differently than amps with toridal transformers...analog amps. Knowing the differences will make your mix better. Peace Paul the sound guy

These people with bad comments are a joke ... They say the amps are no good and they have never owned one or tested them? How do you conclude that???? It's hating, they cant Stand knowing they spent way more for the same or less power

I bought an inuke 6000dsp about 3years ago. It let me down at 2 major gigs in december 2013 and 2014. I hardly used them and they were used to drive a pair of EVzx5 . This amplifier is Rubbish, Overated and indeed a piece of JUNK. 2 friends of mine had exactly the same problem @ GIGS.

Thanks for the video Man and also let me tell you that I own 3 - Inuke 6000DSP bought since the day they become available on the market. My experience with them has been nothing but exellent. I use them to run 6 SRX728 JBL cabinets for which I used 6 QSC PLX3402 amps. Of course QSC (because of the brand name) tought would be better and to my surprise the Nukes beat them hands down. QSC tend to overheat easily, I run live bands up to 6 or 8 hrs continuosly on weekends basis. The Nuke 6000 would always blow cool air and noticed a fatter bassy sound comming out of my SRX728's So happy with them to the point that Im buying the NEW Nuke 12000 to make my gear even lighter.... Best Regards. If you don't believe me, you can always go and buy QSC, MACROTECH OR CROWN amplifiers..

Hey Antonio I have 4 PA's 2 12"s, and 2 15", also 2 Floor monitors.15"s. and 2, 18 subs. "All" are powered, some have built in crossovers some don't. So I have a BEHRINGER SUPER-X PRO CX3400 crossover I used to use, with a PMP2000D digital mixer, especially with the subs. Now I have a BEHRINGER S32 Digital Snake with its own pre amps in each channel and a "X-32 mixer" (not the compact, producer or rack mount models) "the big daddy flagship". Do you recommend this Nuke amp. and if so, where in the chain would I hook it? After mixer. Or after the digital snake and plugged in its two main channels?
@patthesoundguy
@patthesoundguy 7 жыл бұрын
a little pro tip... run the amp wide open with the controls all the way up and control levels from the mixer. Your system will always sound its best if you run the amp on full and do level control from the mixer. it will hit harder even at lower volumes.

Wow! This sure is a forum for argument . I am a grand pa in this business ( Sound Engineering and Electronics.) . Behringer did a great job with these amps. Power to weight to price ratio is unbeatable.. I set a minimum standard for these amps of acquiring half the advertised wattage. So with a Nu 6000, I expect 1500 watts at 4 ohm which is still better than the old legendary QSC MX3000a which was sold for $1600 and weighed 67 pounds. Yes physical rigidity, durability and reliability have been deeply compromised. ( All deducted in the price. )

Class D does not mean digital. It means that it is a switching amplifier, meaning that both output transistors switch completely off will not conducting, which increases efficiency and reduces heat. While some Class D amplifiers use digital controls and processing, the power amp section is completely analog. I have one of the iNuke 3000's and I love it!!

Thanks for the info. I recently had a bunch of my stuff stolen and am having to rebuild. Funny thing is I found some 42" double 15" woofer speakers to replace my JBLs. Didn't check the wattage properly so I wound up with 2000W max at 8 ohms. Been looking everywhere for an amp that would run them. I have a quick question though. Is the 8 ohm max 1100 Watts or 1500 Watts? The specs on "Sweetwater" says 1500 x 2 at 8 ohms. Thanks.

Well.... It's a very easy thing to explain. I don't know what kind of subs or mains you use, but! The problem is the amplifier isn't clipping....it's actually your speakers,the amp senses the ceiling or max spl of your speakers and when it shuts down usually the light goes red on the knobs and it's protection mode
@maguiver1972

Volume on a amp, you mean gain....volume is on the preamp/mixer. When you say the amp is light in weight and plastic front panel...not at all good attributes for power amplifiers claiming them numbers. The only way them amps will reach thousands of watts would be if it got struck by lightning, real high current watts takes weight and quality parts, better off buying some used older equipment for your money brother. Just because speakers are hard to drive does not mean there shit either, lots to learn about stereo equipment grasshopper, watts are just part of the story very small part at that! PS. Keep your Peavey amp handy I'd bet your going to need it!!

I have 2 iNuke 6000's, and one is the dsp model. I have them hooked up to a furman power conditioner, and that plugs into a monster power conditioner. I have had them for about a year now with no issues, I rarely turn the pots all the way up, I prefer to create a good signal from my mixer and turn the pots up once the mixer is set. I also never boost any frequencies but rather reduce others that are too strong on my eq. And make sure you're running a compatible ohms load on the Behringer.. hooking too many speakers up and creating too low of a ohms load will damage any amp. It's really all about how you run your setup and all the things you do to protect it. I've had my QSC 2450's for about 16+years now running those same configs. Check the fuse on the amp... worst case, contact the place you purchased from and get another or a complete refund.

Tried this Nu6000 on a set of 4ohm 2x18 cabs and this thing is impressive to say the least. I was using Mackie and I've also used the Crown MacroTech and this light amp really surprised me. Don't know how it keeps up but yet not even hot after a 10hour Gig. Chest pounding Bass. I want to try another Behringer like the Ep4000 to see how it is on a set of 1200rms 4ohm dual 2x15 Tops.

wtf are you talking about? Of course the limit light is coming on at halfway, if you have enough power going into the amp. If you had some sort of mixer or something that doesnt put out enough power you would need to turn it all the way to clip the amp the same way as if u had a powerful input.

Check out www.BASSBOSS.com !!! 6000W continuously for 1 full second at 20Hz! I am not going to lie... I just ordered a NU12000DSP. I am curious to see what it does up against a BASSBOSS amp. :-) Either way.... The amp is still a good bang for the buck.

All smps can have high ratings from 22ms to 1 second. Tests have shown these amps crap out with longer durations, just like all the other SMPS powered amplifiers do. Nothing beats toroidal power.... Better off buying up the Cerwin vega cv 5000 amps

I can comment on this amp because i sell them.THEY SUCK! The other Behringer amps ie europower 4000 ect are ok but only because they are direct copy of a QSC rmx series amp..The Europower amps are FALSLY RATED! they put out about 35% of their rating .The NU series ? lets see how you feel 90 days from now.Reguarding this amp vs your Crown XTI2000,well the crown is only rated at 475-500 watts @ 8 ohms. try a Crown XTI4002 Oh thats right you want to spend peanuts on an amp.

people who do not know how to connect these amps properly (to power conditioners) and try to connect too heavy of a load (below 4 ohm) deserve to have all their shit fried. the iNuke 6000 is very powerful, as long as you know how to power one properly and dont have 5 amps plugged into one power conditioner all going into one outlet like a douche. Some people are just mad they are stupid and can't connect a million devices into one outlet. Get over it. Learn how to properly balance your load and you'll be very happy with this amp. I can comment on this amp because I am an audio engineer and not a shitty salesman. A good salesman will point out the benefits of every product as well as let you know what you need to do to protect your investment in the long term, not shit on it and lose out on a sale... dick head. I worked for radioshack, that doesn't mean I knew everything about every device. If you try and run this amp at 2 ohm, you'll fry something no doubt, and wonder why it didn't last as long as a crown. We Americans are stupid(the entire world knows it), so American companies build in certain protections that enable and promote our stupidity.

The resistance or "ohmage" as you call it has nothing to do with amp clipping. And please make me understand why the hell a DJ needs monitors. You gained volume when you added your other components because you were driving the input signal a lot harder. The knobs on the front of the amp aren't volume knobs, they're input sensitivity controls.

TM HURST we do use monitors because we SYNC music together in time and sound is a slow traveler that produce delay.. so we use monitors to synchronise the next song in our headset to the main mix or the song playing. a minimal delay just makes the mix impossible
