Very helpful. We use these at my church. I only have a basic understanding of how to use them. Your video gave me a better understanding. Thanks.

Technically the P 16 is a personal monitor mixer. In-ear monitors or IEM’s refer to the actual earbuds along with a wireless or wired hadphone amplifier.

Nicely done tutorial. We don't always have time to give new team members a comprehensive lesson on the P16's, so I'm always trying to pull them aside and show them these features. Especially panning, which really helps separate everything in your ears. I'm thinking of doing a similar tutorial for our specific team, but yours covers all the basics already. I also created an Excel label strip, but without the colors. I'll check your out and may just switch them out. :-)

We have a Beringer X32 and P16s. I would like the worship leader to to be able to hear the main Left and Right front of house signel in one channel on the p16s. Can I route the main left and right to a bus? I would then send the bus to the p16 where we could solo the p16 channel.

What is the best way to connect 4.4 balanced IEMs to the power play? Just use an adapter from the 6.5 to 4.4female? Or use the two R&L line outs to a 4.4 female?

my church has around 6 channels for the drums so they take up a lot of channels already. is there a way to group them into one or two channels?
@WorshipEdge
@WorshipEdge 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe they would be put into a subgroup on the X32 and then that subgroup would be routed as a single channel to the P16.

Is there any possibility on the X32 mixer to set the gain independently from the P16M mixer? Every time when the mixing guy changing the gain of a certain channel live (FOH), the gain is changing in the P16M too, and ruining my settings of my monitor. Is there any possibility to solve this problem? Thanks.
@WorshipEdge
@WorshipEdge 3 жыл бұрын
Great question, I have experienced this myself. Our solution/policy is gain structure is set early in rehearsal and not touched again at all. If it's set properly there is really no need to adjust it live. Hope that helps!

At our church we had to use SHIELDED cat 5 ethernet cables. Using a long 150 ft unshielded ethernet cable caused internal issues with our X32 Digital mixer. We now use 100% shielded cables with no ill effect. The shielded cables cost more but better that having your digital board reset itself mid performance! www.cables.com/Category/Category-5-shielded-cables.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAiAv9riBRANEiwA9Dqv1VL0RjYz7xnvOjSSXjNZGXyHLcf17v9e9P5iWCSigEMEhx7_wLOWIRoCz88QAvD_BwE

The P16-M connection is not ethercon. However, shielded Cat5 (or better) cables are specified for all Ultranet connections by Behringer. Don't risk problems by trying to use unshielded cables.

Been using this for years. Love it. But im a guy with a very particular eq setting. Haven’t been able to find this anywhere but do you know what the frequency range is on the frequency knob for the mid? Maybe 250 to 4,000 hertz? Or maybe 300 to 2,000. Can anyone help with this for when adjusting the frequency knob next to the mid knob?
