Behringer Pro~1 demo sequenced by Doepfer Darktime CV and GATE

Do you have a patch tip how to setup the Behringer Pro-1 with Beatstep Pro for ratcheting sequence?

You would connect it CV and Gate. The gate out would go to the A-160-5 clock in and ratcheted output from that would go to Pro~1 gate in. Ratchets can be applied manually or from an external CV source. I use a Doepfer Darktime to supply random CVs to get a more organic feel.

Hi! I’m new to modular and don’t quite understand the benefits of using gate and pitch. What possibilities would the pro1 offer me in conjunction with my fantom 7 that has two pairs of gate and pitch outputs?

I have not used the Fantom 7 but if I had midi and two CV outs I would use midi for Pitch and note triggering and the other CV outs for filter cutoff and resonance control. Wash your over used hands and stay safe.

Sick! So what do you lose by racking the pro1? midi-out and channel assign? Are you then not able to polychain using the cv out?

I have to put it back in the case to update via USB and you may be right about the other things - really there is no advantage having it in a euro rack apart from the users preferred ergonomics.

@@VykaarTones I see you have the same problem with darktime. Do you use 5V or 12V Gate Trigger? 12V is to high, maybe this could be the problem. I don't have the english description, the following is in german, translate with google. You can change the trigger mode with an internal jumper..... "Gate-Spannung 0/+5V (für Geräte mit S-Trigger oder Korg MS-10/MS-20 siehe untenstehende Hinweise) bei Geräten ab Anfang 2012 (ab Seriennummer 120240) kann die Ausgangsspannung für Gate/Clock/Reset/Start-Stop mit einem internen Jumper von +5V auf +12V umgestellt werden (erkennbar an dem Aufdruck V2/2011 oder V3/2012 auf der Interface-Platine)."

It is working with a 12 volt gate but I have an older red led Darktime that is 5 volt gate only and the operation is identical. In this demo the gate yellow cable is coming from the Doepfer A160-5 ratchet controller.

External Gate problem has been fixed in firmware update version 1.2.8 !
