I think it sounds really great! Keep in mind, I also add a bit of chorus, reverb and delay to the sounds, making it sound wider and stereo. But I've never played a Prophet-600 or any of the 80s Prophets, so I really can't tell. I have had Behringers Pro-1 for a year and I really like that one, too, so when they announced the release and the new, lower price, I decided to just take a chance on it. I was into Rolands in the 80s, my first real synth being the Alpha Juno 2, but back then I did not really appreciate or understand it. Digital was everywhere and everyone, including me wanted the bright digital sounds and a lot more patch memory, so I flipped it for a D-50 after a year. Now, when taking up playing music again, I've been learning synthesis, utilizing pedals for effects etc. And I really like the warm and organic sounds in analog synths. I even bought an Alpha Juno 1 again for nostalgia, I thought, but now I really like the sound of that, too.

Just wondering if you find that JU-X6A overlay very useful. One of the most frustrating things about the boutiques is trying to remember all those button combinations, and the manuals are a nightmare. I didn't even know those existed until I saw yours and researched it.

Very good spotting there! 🙂 Yes, they are very useful! I've only had them for approx a month for my JU-06A, JP-08, JX-03, and I've so far only used the JU-06A actively. It actually helps finding the right settings pretty easily and I find myself adjusting settings I would not have used earlier. The quick manual is not very user-friendly, and i.e. Sunshine Jones offers his own manuals for some of the boutiques, but they are also limited. And each boutique has its own settings so if you are using many of them, it is really hard to remember where to find the correct setting without the manual. These overlays are great and pretty easy to fit to the surface. Search for mXpand, a German guy is making them on demand
