I just start with my modular (Behringer) 55 so the tutorials and demos like this are of high demand and very helpful. Thanks a lot Mate for this. Keep going and best regards. P.

Thank you! I’m glad my vids are helpful, I’ve been away for a while, setting up my new studio. But am planning on making some new videos very soon

I love that after the decades of chasing pipedreams of realism up through FM and ROMplers to optimized plugins we can now sit back and simply enjoy the beauty of analogue synthesis.

Yeah totally - Nothing beats analogue - it's true. The sound is so much richer and organic than VST analogue emulation. There's something very pleasing to the ear that VSTs lack. Maybe something to do with the limitations of digital aliasing Vs true analogue? I don't know, but there's something going on.

Who would have thought that we'd be living in a new golden age for analogue synths? If I'd told the me living in the 90s that analogue synths would become so affordable in twenty or so years time I dont know that I would have believed it.

@@ZvookUK I just regret buying into the chase for realistic emulation of acoustic instruments that most of us were infected with through the 80s. That mindset has largely disappeared thankfully. Yes there some great emulations but the cost and effort to make the emulation good enough to be truly convincing usually raises the question "wouldn't it be quicker and easier to just find someone who can play the trumpet?" 😀

Hi Matt, sounds very beefy-clean (is that a word?) and rather lovely. I just got the 904A but am using it with other oscillators and envelopes. I think they're on the right track and given all the Covid crap and the usual kerfuffle associated with new product introduction they have bitten the bullet and began to shovel product to the distributors. I'll be keeping an eye on your further System 55 adventures as I'm looking closely in that direction (because I'm a newb to Eurorack - although I'm slightly ahead of clueless). Best of luck.

beefy clean should be a word hahaaa

Interesting! I got several of these B modules, I would be mostly interested to understand how you would apply an envelope to this, on vcf and vca. I don't have the Bmoog replica, but envelope from B2500...and also a module from system 100?

Hey great video! Can’t see the cable u mentioned in the description to bypass the s trigger issue. Can u repost or provide a new link?

Thanks! I make them myself. I sell u some I’ve made or you can have a go yourself if you have a soldering iron. The video is on KZbin I can provide a link if u want.

@@TheMachinesWon ok cool. Bear with me - I'm working crazy hours at the moment so don't have a lot of spare time. But I'll sort it out for you this week. You after just one cable? How long do you want it?

@@ZvookUK Not sure, I’m pretty new to eurorack still. After doing some research on those bmoog oscillators tho it sounds like they come not calibrated. Again being new this has me questioning if I wanna build the system 55 rig at the moment. Did you have the same experience or is this more common than the complainers of the internet

@@TheMachinesWon Mine were fine. I think people make the mistake of not allowing half hour warm up time (as they are analogue VCOs they need about half hour to warm up to get to their stable and normal pitch settings). When people first get them they try them out straight away and think they need calibrating when they should have just left them for a bit before trying them. I think you’ll be ok. But it’s up to you. Mine have stayed fine - I’ve not needed to mess about with them. When you first turn them on they’ll be quite flat, then as they warm up they’ll get sharper and sharper until they hit their optimal / stable pitch.
