I know it's a 'bass synth'. but the higher range on this is so nice. It has a certain twitchiness in the harmonics that make it feel very warm and pleasant.

Super stoked on this one...maybe the first behringer synth I think should be smaller! Some front panel patch points would have been easy, a rudimentary sequncer or even an arpeggiator could be squeezed into that footprint.

Sorry I know this is off-topic but -- may I ask if you're using specific LUTS for your videos' color tones? They all look fantastic; the colors and the light contrast, etc. Nice work.
@elissitdesign

Looks like it’s shot in a LOG codec which is making it appear flat. Doesn’t seem like he’s doing anything crazy. I’d learn to grade your footage instead of relying on LUTs. IMO.

Sound-wise does it seem pretty similar to the Model D? I have the D clone and am really happy with it and it doens't jump out to me as very different sounding. It's very possible I'm missing some small nuances here, but I wonder how others feel about this.

Ok unfortunately Behringer missed the point on this.... A synth you play with your feet. ... I guarantee this synth will be selling at £100 each or less eventually. Wait till then maybe. But apart from one control of the oscs. It's a very basic synth. It always was. Thanks for the first demo that gives it some go.

"Ok unfortunately Behringer missed the point on this.... A synth you play with your feet." So buy a foot pedal MIDI controller for it? Anyway ... I don't need or even want a Toro myself, but when the price DOES come down as you rightly predict, I don't see how I can resist buying one! 😆(I am a big Rush fan)

yeah the filter curve and steadiness of the oscillation is not going to be the same on a budget....however that soft sound from Moog synths was more or less why I sold my slim phatty....had to run it through a guitar amp to get it gritty....Behr has the sound im looking for

@@patchbaycowboy "Moog is way higher quality of parts" can you prove this? People don't WANT the Behringers to be accurate, but they are ... and over time they will age and sound even more like the originals, which is why you don't "hear it" now.

Welcome to normalized architecture subtractive synthesis. 😏The difference between the Toro's sound and the Model D (using only two oscillators) is simply that the Toro is a more powerful bass. I too have the Model D and see no reason to get a Toro, but ... were I someone who played live and wanted to use bass pedals ... the Toro would be an instant purchase! (P.S. most of the time I use my SH-01A for bass.)

This hurts my ear to even listen to it. I've heard this so many times before I just don't even want to hear it. I can't wait for this to end. I can't wait for Behringer to run out of stuff to copy. Kinda like how I can't wait for Hollywood to run out of movies to remake. I want to see INNOVATION. Behringer is in a very unique position as being the only company that COULD ACTUALLY make the most powerful and innovative synths ever made in history, instead they are making this ;(

You know some people actually really love the original machines, their user interfaces, their tonality, their feature set? If you want an innovative you have an absolutely enormous amount to chose from elsewhere. Clearly vintage 'classics' are not for you it seems.

The R&D team takes on the least amount of risk and develops a large body of research data by making clones of existing products. They allow people to get the equipment they wouldn't be able to afford and then Behringer is able to make educated risks with their own designs. It's called Agile methodology and they are really good at it. Glad to hear you want innovation but this is the way you get there.

@frankenfrank9553 Жыл бұрын
There're new innovative synthesizers of different brands coming out in masses every year ma boy. I don't agree with Behringer's way of cloning stuff that is still on the market. But cloning old classics that are more expensive than a small car nowadays is just a gem for the community.
