Hey Matt, I'm loving the videos on the new Toro! What a coincidence, I actually just acquired a Roland PK-5 pedalboard, and I purchased the Cherry Audio Lowdown plugin while it's on sale to go along with them. Do you have any experience with that software? I'm tempted to get the Toro, but I was just matching the settings in Lowdown to your video here and they seem pretty close. But, the Toro is only $250, and analog hardware is always cooler than softare... Lol

I don’t have Lowdown. I already have a Moog Minitaur, and my band owns a Taurus III, so this is overkill! But…I always like having hands-on with an original or clone because I understand the limitations and make the advanced hardware and software versions closer to what we all love.

Hi there, Enjoying your videos! I think the album version has decay turned off...They may have even put a short delay on that track (?)

It might. I was matching mine up to the Seconds Out version - the keyboard parts you hear are from that version, too.

What kind of bass pedals are you supposed to connect with the Behringer Toro?

Any MIDI keyboard will do, USB and DIN.

This is one product I would love, but refuse to buy. Most of my studio is Behringer I live and breath Behringer, but i would not only need a pedalboard to go with it, but the ability to play said pedals. And my feet just cannot cope playing a set of pedals. To me it would be cheating to use a normal keyboard with it. So for now at least I’m passing. Anyway I got enough to do programming my new pro 800, while awaiting delivery of my pro vs mini and my solina.

It’s always good to have a bass synth. I love my Minitaur for sequencing bass parts. I say get the Toro, play it with a standard MIDI keyboard, play the three Taurus presets detaché as you would with one foot, and make your own patches and play however you want! Enjoy your Pro-800, and let me know what you think of it! I have a vintage Solina and a Prophet 6 but I’m mighty curious about these new modules.
