Watching this video is faster, more informative and easier to understand than the manual I got with the device

I was re-watching this again bc I am having issues with how I believe my T1952 is working. And I noticed that at around 5:07, you said that the Interactive is really good for bus compression (when the switch was on hard knee) and then you flipped the switch and said interactive (agin) is really good for vocals, etc. I just noticed it and I have watched your video about 10 times - but maybe I am paying better attention bc I am trying to apply it to my gear... Just a note... Thanks for your videos!
@RecordingStudio92 жыл бұрын
You are correct, I should have said "Hard Knee" great for bus compression. Slip of thought for that split moment. Thanks for pointing it out.

I have one in my rack. It works smooth and allows some character to your track.. I highly recommend these for some coloration on your vocal tracks or anything else you run through it.

If you change the 12AX7 for ECC83 it will become warmer and high end noise will roll off.

A short audio demo with drums would be cool. That reveals a compressor's character the best, I think.

Sure, as time allows me to run a demo. Maybe next time I'm using it.

Hello Vatche. Thank you (again) for taking time to educate. I have been checking your channel since I started my journey into the digital world a few years ago. From helping me understand patch bays to where I am today you have been a "go to" source for me. I am eagerly awaiting arrival of a T1952 and this video has been watched more than once with a notebook in hand. I also have the ART PRO VLA ii and I'm sure the 1952 will compliment this. So ..... I wish you continuing success and happiness. Very best regards. Pete from Auchtermuchty in Scotland.

@@RecordingStudio9 No problem, you do a great job. If you are based in the Brisbane area, watch out for my good friend. He is known as 'Fozzy' He just moved out your way from Scotland last year. He is a fab folky contemporary musician and seems to be creating a nice positive buzz for himself. Take care and best regards. Pete from Auchtermuchty, Fife, Scotland.(home of The Proclaimers)

Hello! I am glad that you have shared this! I have collected the 4 vintagers, preamp, eq, comp and FX. Do I need anything else for mastering mixing?

Great!!! Would you share a typical settings for male vocals singer? Thanks.
@RecordingStudio95 ай бұрын
This depends on the vocal characteristics, microphone used and many other factors. There is no preset settings. I normally aim for steady 6 to 10 dB of gain reduction.
@gixerags750Ай бұрын
Hi, are there any differences between this and the T1951 ? Thank you. 😊
@RecordingStudio9Ай бұрын
Behringer T1951 is an EQ module where the T1952 is a compressor. Big difference 😉

Please explain difference between audio interface and mixing console Please explain what's best for home studio.....?
@nielshusum4 жыл бұрын
A mixing console is a (usually large) audio mixer (analog or digital) which in some cases can contain an audio interface (only stereo in/out or a multichannel interface). In a home studio most people use a multitrack audio interface and then us software in the computer as a digital mixing control. Nearly all modern audio interfaces include such a software mixing console. If you like real buttons you could consider the Zoom products since they make cheap small mixing consoles with built-in multichannel audio interfaces.

Would you recommend this or the ART VLA II for character, saturation? Not looking for clean.
@RecordingStudio94 жыл бұрын
You can get more saturation and 'colour' from T1952, but ART has smoother compression. I use T1952 for keys and synth etc. bus, and ART on drums, guitars, vocals or mix bus.
@valterbeicinha96336 ай бұрын
Can it be used for mastering application?
@RecordingStudio96 ай бұрын
It works like any other compressor. Mastering a song is a human experience task, not really hardware related. Know your gear.

could you make a little demonstration? i bought one used, but sometimes i think it dowsnt work, or better to say, the differences are not that big..... would be great to have a reference... thank you

what are your settings for vocals?

Every vocal and recording is different. Best to learn how a compressor works so you can set the options correctly.

In your opinion, do you prefer the Behringer T1952, Behringer 2600 or DBX?
@RecordingStudio94 жыл бұрын
They all have their place depending on which bus i'm compressing. My DBX 1066 is great or drums, while the MDX2600 great or guitars and keys, ART on vocals and bass and T1952 great to add some harmonics and overall glue. But all interchangeable.

Did you ever make a video about the Warmth Section ? I think you said you did but I could not find it n your channel. Also have you tried to change the Tubes for different tonality ? Any recommendations ?

*** EDIT. I Found and Watched your Pre-Amp Video where you go into Depth about the Vacuum Tube in the Mic Pre. Would you say the circuitry and Tonality is the exactly the same in the Mic Pre AND the Composer ?

Unfortunately, I don't have the schematics to check and compare.
@frankbellina39833 жыл бұрын
I owned one of these. You have to open it and confirm but the tubes are not wired into the sound processing at all. They are just backlit for show.
@RecordingStudio93 жыл бұрын
Here is the original scematics of the unit available on my web site. If you can understand it, then it will confirm your speculation. I guarantee you, the tubes are not there for just show. recordingstudio9.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Behringer-T-1952-Schematics.pdf
