Hi, congratulations on your channel. Can you make a video to explain how to use the aux/fx button in relation to the FX output? I would like to use the AUX output for a speaker but if I turn the knob to have the FX I will have the channel that is heard the most on the monitor. Thanks in advance

Do you know how to send midi CC message from the tascam to external hardware ? Is it through midi clock or midi time code ? Is it based oh metronome settings? Unfortunately the manual does not help

your explanation was very helpful. I figured out a way to send a synth on an ipad out to the 12, through fx and back into the ipad to record on ipad with no feedback loop. can also record multiple sources on the ipad at once by choosing an unused audio interface track or no output since you can monitor with headphones or monitors on the 12. was also able to screen record and record audio as separate recordings on the ipad. this also works with the iphone so if recording videos it could go direct to the camera app. I had given up on the idea multi source returns with the ipad until it all clicked while watching your video. thank you! I made a quick video explaining it and linked your video to it in case anyone else has the same issues I have. TY!

Can you use an XLR to 1/4" adapter cable and use the Line in 1/4" input and still get the benefit of the DI box? I want to plug in a mic to XLR input and a guitar (and/or other instruments) into the 1/4" input channels on a Xenyx 802S. Thanks.

I tried this mixer live last week. I couldn't get any sound out of aux 1 or 2 for our monitors. I tried different cables. I had good cables. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Note to Bitwig users: if you don't see the red vertical bar running, close the plugin window and open it again. I was wondering what I'm doing wrong until I saw that refreshing the plugin window does the trick.

How would you use a patchbay with the Model 12? I have got one and want to use it with some external stereo effects and a couple of mono synths and some stereo synths and Octatrack. It’s really tough understanding where to start planning that 🥲

The world of compressors for the small bedroom studio is very very small. DBX, ART and, new to us, Klark, are all we have. After that for a stereo compressor it will be $1000+. My compressor must be outboard, so after the failure of my BBE compressor running 24/7 for 4 years, time for a new one. Which one will run those high hours of use....who knows, do you?

I have a question. What drivers are you using? I have moved to Windows 10 and can get the project mix working just fine except it's not recognized in AISO mode. I have to use WMD. Most importantly, I do not have a control panel. I have "control, " a midi scheme drawing of the mix project mix, but I don't have the control panel. Perhaps you can tell me which drivers are best and where I can find them because M-Audio sent me - ProjectMix_v1_0_5_Win32_Setup

Extremely helpful video that solves a lot of questions about routing and mixing in a DAW. I wonder if would be posible to route it as you did and then create a set of stems of the routed groups and record them back so then you can mix the 4 or 5 stems to the final mix and eventualy master it !! Hey. I made the switch to Linux from Windows this year. Also a long time Windows Studio One user. I am running Ubuntu Studio and Reaper. I have no experience with firewire in Linux but I will say that Reaper is working very well. What I really like about Reaper is that there is a native plugin format, JSFX, that has a lot of community developed plugins. Great source of finding cool plugins since a lot of the commercial plugins most people are using are not supported on Linux. Unless you use something like wine, which I have not tried. Another cool thing with reaper is that there is a built in vocal tuning plugin. Very useful as there is no Melodyne or Autotune available for Linux. I think the limitation of third party plugins can also work in my favour as I don't waste time buying plugins and make music instead 🤘
