behringer UB-Xa Classic layered Sounds

In this video I demonstrate some mostly new custom created sounds which I mostly layered. With 16 voices it's great to use the duotimbrality of the UB-Xa. You can hear majestic chords, evolving pads and mellow electric pianos. In this video I used a bit of reverb, but not too much, just you still have a good impression of the raw sound of the UB-Xa. Thanks for watching again and soon maybe you have your own OB-Xa. Please note that this video was shot with a preproduction unit.

This synth is way better than I expected. I expected it to be reasonably good and had thought it would fulfill my need for a "non-weighted master keyboard that has some good built-in sounds" but earlier this year bought a DX7 IID because I gave up waiting. Now I am figuring out how to fit a third full-size keyboard into my little studio! I really hope the Canadian price isn't going to be too silly.

Thank you for this amazing demo! As a former OB-8 owner, I'm excited to acquire this very soon. Here is a question I hope you'll be able to answer: Does the portamento knob act like it's ancestors? On my OB-8 I could hold a chord or a unison note, and using the portamento knob in real time I could separate the time it took for each voice to reach its final pitch. Think: the intro to "Too Much Time on My Hands" by Styx - or the intro to "Running with the Devil" by Van Halen. Thanks for any clarification on this. 😎🎹

I dont understand why so much credit is given to these "beta testers" compared to the actuial people that made this synth.. these beta testers chase youtube views and sell exspensive presets already (selling presets made on prototype versions and showing the result with effects before the public even has the synth)

I think it lacks character and some 3dness and sounds smaller compared to vintage ones. The price is ok but I think in studio production software plugins can sound quite as good as this. Just my opinion.
