Stupid question from someone with little audio-tech knowledge, if I use this to connect a small gaming-oriented MIDI module (3,5mm line output), can I just plug the module into this card with rca cable adapter and set it to listen in windows? I dont need any output, just the input. Line in on onboard audio is unsuprisingly noisy AF.

how is the bass? does it lose anything in the lower/upper frequencies during ad conversion?

Mine records for about 10 or so seconds and then I can see on Audacity that the sound is dropping off. With the headphones I don't hear the sound drop. I think it is a defective unit or a windows 11 problem.

Hi! Are you still using this device today? I am eying for this device as my mobile interface. Would you still recommed it? I also have some questions: 1. Will it still produce output in RCA when headphone is connected? 2. Would a built-in pre-amp from an acoustic guitar be enough for input? 3. Borderline noob here: On the amazon website it says that has digital mono output. Would that mean the same thing is coming out of both speakers? Say if in the DAW, certain things were panned or something like a ping-pong delay occurred. Would you be able to hear that?

I tried this interface with an amped turntable (which I know are underpowered, in general.) I found that, with my particular laptop - all experiences will be different - it did not receive enough power from USB to run properly. It constantly cut out, and when switching from phono to PC it would have to be powered off and back on (I have a Sabrent, powered USB hub) every single time. I switched to the Stellar Labs 555-30420 USB PHONO PREAMP (which is DC powered) and have not had a hitch since. This, as I said, is only my experience. If the Behringer works for you, wonderful. However, there are other fish in the sea if you find that it has power issues.

are you using a usb 3.0 port? both 2.0 and 3.0 are 5v ports but 3.0 allows more current.

hey man, great video!!I have a question regarding this interface. I have the exact one for a long time and it's usually connected to my laptop and a couple of krk speakers just to listen to some music. Not long ago I received a technics turntable and the issue I have is that, when I connect the turntable to it as well, I'm not able to control the volume. It doesn't work via the laptop or the interface, only from the back of the speakers..why??:)

.wav is lossles, I know. But the input from the usb is digital or 1-0-0-1-0-...... But my old usb-turntable gives .wav in my laptop, explained by the manual ,or is this is false ? -Thnxs again .

Hi there, thanks for the video. I have UCA202 too and want to record my serato SL2 mixes onto my Macbook Pro.. Just so that I'm clear, I connect my RCA's from my mixer Booth Out to the Input on the UCA, then play in the USB and this will act as a line in to record..? One question, How do I still achieve sound via my amp as my booth out normally connects straight to my amp in...? Do I need to run a separate RCA from mixer Master Out to Amp in..? Hey, quick question. I noticed, well at least on the mac, that i cannot increase the input levels like i can with other devices. I find my recordings a bit low when the mixer that I have (soundbarrier my16U). It says it has mic preamps (did research and i guy mentioned the xlr inputs having mic preamps) and using the xlr did make it better but thing is, where I am, not much xlr cables and not too much channels on the mixer. What can I do to boost up signals through the TRS? Marks Line next to all ports but it is REALLY LOW x.x Thanks

Yes that's what I am using. The REC out rca. I have to almost max gain to get something decent. Using vocopro mics and they are near, foreclosed to max.I don't like maxing out e everything like that. No pro but to me i don't think it should be. If i use xlr, will be better cause I t think that's where the pre amp is but we have trs mostly

So basically this is a better "sounding" solution than using the RCA to Mini Jack into your macbook pro? Also I allready have a Scarlet focus rite 2I2, and have been trying to use it to record my mixes..by going RCA from Mixer to quarter inch jack adapter into Focusrite single quart inch jack, hoping it would work..but I only get one channel in Audacity..is is becaue these units are basically made for Mics and insruments? Great video! Could this also work with my Kaossilator Pro + into this UCA202 into PC (a DAW software - Propellerhead Reason, recording as external MIDI instrument audio)? I've been trying to sync it because i want some of the scratching/effects and beats that are on Kaossilator. Thanks in advance!

Just some info: Directly plugging the KP+ into PC (via the USB) makes Reason/Ableton recognise it as a MIDI controller. The KP+ has cinch output/input lines, MIDI output/input and 6.3 jack for headphones and one for mic. I tried to plug the cinch output KP+ into my PC (my PC has a separate 3.5 mm jack audio input) using a adapter, but the record quality was terrible. From what I understand, the PC audiocard is not suitable for recording analog audio, therefore it sounds horrible. A USB Soundcard should solve this, right?

You can use the PC to send out the Cue signal, then the interface to send audio to speakers separately.
