With that setup you have you can go full tangerine dream. LOL For the price the Behringer wave seems to be a very tempting purchase. When you see the ridiculous prices that the 40+ old synths are on sale for on Reverb I'm glad that a company like Behringer exists.

I have been trying to fathom my Wave today. It arrived yesterday. I have read the manual before it arrived but I’ve still been stumped a few times today when unexpected things happened. It sounds great though doesn’t it?
@VykaarTones11 күн бұрын
Yes I love mine so far no complaints - I don't read manuals until I have a problem...

very nice tangerine dream style improvisation. the BBG adds the flavor of their early 80s works, but your other two synths here, vc340 and mellotron choir on the nord, definitely pull this into "Rubycon" era. may i ask, what processing did you use on the Nord - a panning tremolo, phaser ? it certainly does help bring this back to mid 70s ;)
@VykaarTones8 күн бұрын
It is a Tangerine Dream Choir patch from the Nord mellotron library no extra effects added apart from delay and reverb.
@MypeaceIgive0074 сағат бұрын
Does every patch on it automatically pan from left to right??? If so thats aggravating.😮

Great vid, I haven't messed with the sequencing yet. Got mine on the 18th of Jan with an LM Drum, dream pairing. What mode are you in, Standard (Bank 0) or Enhanced (Bank 1)? Hint, to change patches quicker, turn the data control so the underscore is under the PROG number, then push the Data control so the first number is highlighted by a flashing cursor. You can then just turn the data wheel to change patches. How are you finding the Keybed? Mine seems to lack sensitivity on certain patches and sometimes doesn't trigger notes especially when trying to play soft.

Keyboard velocity seems to miss notes out occasionally maybe try different settings or turn it off...

Very nice ❤ That white noise sound that’s drifting in & out - what is it ? Coming from the Wave ?
@VykaarTones11 күн бұрын
Most likely the mellotron patch on the Nord electro 6D at the bottom if you see me playing that.

Yes trying to work out the internal sequencer. I will try and get it going monophonically with a 960 tomorrow. Love the sounds it makes.

And I thought you were downsizing...🤔... I have seen the usual reviews on the Wave.. does it really add anything that you don't already have? I have just got (delivered today) the Stylophone drone and Behringer Spice.. they work quite well together.. though I think the Spice is going to take some getting used to.. keep the groove! ✊️✌️

It has the sound that was always missing from my Tangerine Dream style setup. The PPG was Edgar's favourite synth. Maybe I don't need the Nord A1?
@DavidJKellett11 күн бұрын
It’s a very different beast from most subtractive synths. The Wavetable implementation in the original PPG and this recreation gives a very distinctive, “crunchy” sound. It very much defined the early ‘80s sound of Tangerine Dream.

Here in the USA we’re being told Waves won’t come rolling in ‘til March! Why? I’m gonna complain to Donald Trump!
@VykaarTones6 күн бұрын
It's great and you have two months to read the manual while you wait🤔Wait times in the UK have been updated to February so USA times might be sooner soon.

Did you make the patches or are they factory presets ?
@VykaarTones8 күн бұрын
I have only had it two days and I am just tweaking existing patches.
