Solid gold information! I never understood how to use them.....until now. Thanks!

I like to think of it as parameters that ignore what the scene tells them to do. So I have my master bus level and EQ and all my patching/routing safe from scene. Because sometimes I require a scene change while background music is being played so I may even select that channel and all its parameters. 😁

This provided good clarity, thanks again Drew! May you please extend on this topic for theater or concert productions where let's say during sound check or a dress rehearsal, you dial in gain, channel fader, dynamics etc. for a set or a song, and then the next song is a different group of vocalists with maybe added instruments in and some going out, and repeating this process until the end of the show so that during the actual show you can just press your assign buttons to cue up and recall those parameters for each set/song and then adjust as needed as the show goes on. Is this where cues and snippets come into play? Always appreciate the work you put into these videos. Thanks Drew!

À big problem Drew is that for people who don't have English as their first language they think that SAFE and SAVE mean the same thing. I've had many conversations with people who say "my scenes are not being saved. I x everything and when I call up a scene nothing changes" I then explain that everything is ALWAYS saved and the x's stop the current scene from changing. It's one of the most difficult concepts to grasp on the X32, that is, after you've conquered the routing! 😂

I went through that, & English is my 1st language 😅

I think the routing could be a lot more intuitive/user friendly. Apparently I'm not the only one.

Is there a way to see what the last scene that was loaded prior to powering down the mixer?
@gastube224 ай бұрын
When you power up the mixer again, the name of the current scene (that you last loaded, prior to the power-down) still shows at the very top of the screen on the left, just as it did immediately before the power-down.

@@gastube22 thanks for your response. I may have made a bad assumption that they are the same, but I have a Midas M32 and not an X32. That said, I can see the loaded scene by the yellow highlighting of the cells in the chosen row (12 for example), but once powered down and back up again Scene 00 is highlighted. The top left of the SCENES tab has “SHOW: MyShow”

Drew, just picked up an X32 Compact for my small church. What videos do you have that would be a great place for training new users (untrained sound techs). What videos would be most important for me in setting up in the room? (I am fairly knowledgable, though routing and DCA's still throw me on the X32)

Hi Drew. Thanks for your videos. I have a question. I would like to add a delay on the lead vocal that comes into play only when the singer has finished the phrase so that the delay is high and fills only when he stops singing. I heard this at a live concert. It was truly beautiful. How can you do this with X32?
@duluxeboy4 ай бұрын
compress the delay and sidechain the vocal channel in the delay compressor...when the singer stops singing, the delay's compressor will release allowing the delay to come through

Hi Drew. While you're on the topic of scenes, what could be the reason for mics working on one scene and not on another.

Is there a way to make the Assignable soft keys universal? So far I haven’t found a way… I’d like to create a button to recall the template scene no matter what scene you’re on, but it seems I have to program it into every scene

This was a nice explanation of a confusing set of features on the X/M 32. I have two questions; can scenes be deleted just over-written? Also, when loading scene from a USB drive, does it alway load into the current, active scene?
@MrRunescapemachinima4 ай бұрын
Hi Drew, one question: At least from my understanding this does not work correctly in the X32-Edit Software. If I try to reproduce your steps from video all the changes are load all the time. Mixer safes or channel safes work as intended though. Can you confime these issues or is there way to fix this/am I just too dumb? :D

Does it hurt to keep saving over the same scene

What really hurts is when you save over the wrong scene by accident and don’t realise until it can’t be undone. 🤦♂️
