Are you able to use the RTA with the 31 band EQ?

Great videos! Can I select all the drums and. Add them to my group and control eg. 1-4 through the my group fader? Is it possible to mute channels 1-12 individually? We use a Midas m32r with a stage box, and send the signal to our dp48 mixers in daisy chain. I can’t seem to get the broadcast to work, so I can’t see the names of the channels and synchronize them so they correspond with the desk. Any tips? Maybe a video on this? The biggest problem with the dp48 is lack of instruction material. Just figuring it out yourself. That makes your videos gold. Thanks 🙏🏻 greets from Germany 😊

Hello Kindly help me understand why my M32 Midas main LR output has low sensitivity towards vocal signals even when the gain is cranked all way up. The channel shows it's clipping but not much is reaching the LR mains output. So because of this, the backup vocals usually sound too quiet in the live mix. Thank you.

Thanks Drew for walking through this! Great information. My band has done multi-track recording of live shows and I've brought in for virtual soundchecks and practicing my mixing. I noticed you did at a channel by channel level to switch to USB. I've always used the "Chn 1-16" button on the USB Returns page. I believe that's doing the same thing, correct? And then I just hit "Off (Analog)" once I'm done to flip all back to the analog inputs. One question I had was there any way to solo a channel and still get it through the main LR mix (not just the headphones)? If the band isn't available and I want to use a prior recorded live performance to dial in a channel and room, I've only been able to get the solo to work through the headphones. I'd only want the solo to work like this for a virtual soundcheck of course and not during Analog/live. but have never been able to figure that part out. Thanks!

I was waiting also I started out with an XR18, then i switched to an X32 full board & followed your 2 videos for using Reaper as my DAW With my X32, its working flawlessly, but if i ever break out my XR18, these are the 2 videos i'll watch again When i 1st started with my XR18, i used Alan Hamiltons tutorials for setting up Reaper as my DAW, worked flawlessly also, but its been awhile since ive used my XR18 cause im now on an X32, but im very happy to be a subscriber of your channel Drew, your very good at what you do THANK YOU 😊

Hi Drew, is it possible to create an X32 FOH console with the S32 stage box on AES Out, and an X32 rack as a monitor console for the band on stage with its own input gain?

Sounds like crap to me. I'd rather just figure out which frequency to cut manually, at least for live performance.

Love this, wish though you'd add 'club' environments to the translation check. It would be such a useful addition.

Is there a way to set up the talkback to route to the monitor console over AES50, but only send signal when the Talk A or B is on?

Stop using the visual RTA meters on the console. You stop training your ears to pick out problem frequencies. It happens to a lot of guys i know. So i turn off RTA on any consoles that I use. Unless i don’t have time, then i use it. Otherwise nope. And use a GEQ to ring out. Use the PEQ with an RTA software to flat all the mons first so they all sound the same before tuning. Cos speakers tend to wear differently with time. Then use GEQ to notch whatever frequencies that are offending

Just bought a new one of these. Thank you for making these videos. I would never have figured out how to fully set this up for recording without your videos. I spent a whole day combing the Internet, the manual and KZbin for answers. Your videos answered them all. One of the worse manuals I've seen. But I think most companies these days, expect their customers to use YT to learn about their products... Cheers!

So is this reverb just the channel or is it reverberating the whole monitor mix? Like if I do this, will everything that I send to that mix get reverb?

How about much in depth how to assign subgroups on the mix app. Its easy to assign from the actual desk but poor info how to assign from the mix app.

Why is it such top secret to be able to assign drums, vocals, keys to a bus group? How do you do this on the mix app?

My biggest issue is to be able to do a recording (which works properly) and hear it out the main outputs and still be able to record. I'd like to know if there is a way to multitrack record, play that recording out the main L/R speakers and layer another guitar or vocal while recording. Is this possible? I've the compact version btw

Drew, do you know if you can playback backing tracks as well as midi program change messages as well via the sd cards? I have an ipad that can playback tracks and midi information (sending midi via bluetooth currently to devices to do pedal/program changes ect). But I was trying to find a backup solution in case my ipad fails. Thank you, also do you have any videos on the midi implementation of the X32 ? thank you!
