Those who speak really good English outside of Shanghai and Beijing are hard to come by, but even those cities have folks who can't speak any English. @@silkic I worked in retail in the US and we sold products for 100+ when I was younger and had people who spoke Spanish, French and Chinese come through. I couldn't say the numbers in their language. Why is it a surprise that those folks who live in China, selling products in China, can't say a lot of the numbers in English? Seems kind of silly to have that expectation. Its impressive that so many are bilingual as it is. America is one of the worst in the world in promoting learning other languages. Many say if you dont speak Merican, get out of my country in the US. Nevermind the fact the language is called English and how unintelligent it makes them look.

I used to live in South East Asia and i lived with the locals in purpose rather than live with westerners, to get to see the REAL side of all of this kind of living, they go home with virtually enough to pay the rent, if which they're staying in one room apartments with all their family in there, or 7 other friends, all working different shifts. By the time the end of the month comes by they literally have enough for something special, toilet paper, some perfume, gel or something around that sort of price,. They consider it a treat to eat at a McDs or something from another western chain restaurant once a month... The rest of their savings comes from scrounging or scamming... And you think this is cool yeah? I used to, until I bothered to find out, after getting past that stupidly greedy moment...its called GROWING UP, all you're doing is feeding the corruption!
