Hello Annie It comes to a surprise to me when you video showed up while I was looking for the summer camp info. It seems Grand Rapid is a nice place. For me, I had a very bad experiences with the Michigan since I was in Detroit long time ago and the experience was scary. If I have a daughter as energetic like you, I would be super happy to take her travelling all around the world. I have a very difficult time to motivate my boys to travel with me. They just like to stay home and don't want to move their feet. Thus, every summer, I have to plan our trip as short as possible otherwise they won't go. That cause me a big headache since I don't like to stay at home. Nice video of you Jacky

Your smile is so gorgeous!! I cannot wait to be a summer camp counsellor and was wondering how you decided which camp to apply to?
@AnnieGraceMarchWaddell4 ай бұрын
Aw you are the sweetest!!! I went through the organisation camp leaders! Once I have completed my application my profile was sent out to camps around America and this was the first camp that reached out and I immediately said yes! 🥰

Hey! did you decide to take a gap year/ or just go during summer before starting uni/college? were most people younger, 18?

Hi!! So I am from Aus and decided to do a year at an American college in San Francisco (kind of as my gap year) so I decided to apply to work at a summer camp before staring college at the end of August 2023! There was a range of ages, I had just turned 19, but it ranged from 18- late twenties (anyone under 18 were junior counsellors and had to be supervised by an over 18 year old) Hope this helps🥰

Hi! I just applied to Camp leaders and have an interview booked for next Monday. I don't know if you will see this comment but I was just wondering if you have any idea of how tough the competition is? I tried my best to fill in my application as complete as I could and so far the only thing left that I have to do is have 3 people as references. I could definitely think of some people to mail for this, but don't want to bother them with an entire question list. Is this just like something where they mail them and they have to check a box? Lastly I was just wondering if right now is a good time to sent in the application. It's for next summer camp 2025 so I would hope I'm on the early side but maybe I'm underestimating just how many people sign up for this :)

Hello! I’m absolutely happy to help! I definitely think you will have no issues being placed at a camp! Especially since it’s early too! I applied to Camp Leaders in December 2022 for the American Summer in 2023 and I got placed straight away. So I have no doubt you will, and now you’ll have plenty of time to research certain camps if they reach out to you. I hope this helps! If you need any more help, feel free to message me on instagram it’s @anniemarchwaddell ☺️☺️

Hey! How did you get hired? Was this the first camp that had you on review or did you decline any before? I'm with camp leaders right now and don't really like the camp I'm on review with but I have already refused two prior to this one so I'm not quite sure what to do

Hey!! I totally understand how you are feeling! This was the first camp that reached out and I had my thoughts considering if it was the right one for me, although I ended up deciding yes! If you are feeling unsure about the actual camp then I would decline the offer, but if you are maybe just hesitant because you want to make the right decision, maybe just go for it? Whatever camp you decide it will be an experience!! Hope this helps :)

So how much money did u take with u and did u have an extra month to travel if yes did u go with other camp counselors spontaneously or did u plan it out beforehand?
@AnnieGraceMarchWaddell3 ай бұрын
Hey! The money I earned at camp covered my expenses for the 3 months I was there, and we did things most weekends and even did a weekend trip to Chicago! Unfortunately I didn’t get to travel with my friends afterwards because I had to start college the next day! I would definitely say to save up a little bit if you want to travel without any concerns! Hope you have a great summer!☺️☺️
