Hey everyone!
I decided to make a part 2 of being a caregiver! A lot of you guys had some questions for me which of course I answered, but I also wanted to make one that was a bit more detailed. It also seemed to catch a lot of attention, so I wanted to show everyone a complete day.
This is truly an amazing job! It’s not meant for everyone, but trust me it’s very rewarding. It’s also life changing as well because it makes you look at life very differently. You also get to listen to their beautiful stories and what they did in life. For someone that wasn’t close to their grandparents, I am truly blessed to be in this position and have 5 beautiful grandmas.
If you guys have any questions, then definitely leave me a comment down below!
Follow me on my socials!

Marissa Richardson you have nooo idea. Especially as a fellow Filipina, people look down on you for having a job like this. People will make fun of you and say you wipe peoples bottoms for a living. I respect every single person who decides to become CNAs/ caregivers because they do all the hard work. A lot of people don’t realize how real and hard this job is until they finally put themselves in our shoes. I’m thankful I was able to receive this job and truly appreciate it!

I’m thinking about becoming a caregiver myself and we are the same age I believe but I do have some questions, how’s the live in position, do u have your own private room or how does that work? How long can u live in for? Can you save up money in this field for a house? I love helping the elderly and I know it’s not easy as it seems. And yes I’d love to hear your story on how bad it was in your old job place.

I am currently applying for travel caregiver positions. And I had a few questions. Do you get like a “day off” and get to out of the house? Or is it strictly 7 days a week stay in the house. How many weeks did you stay at each location vs. what they offered you? I also am in college online. Which currently just general Ed’s, so it’s easy. Do you think I could manage this and the job?

I’m from California! I currently work and live in the Bay Area. I say if you want to be a caregiver then you should definitely apply at carehomes! It’s a lot easier, and they are usually always looking for staff. If you want to grow from there then you can take classes to become a certified nursing assistant. It’s basically a caregiver but it will allow you to work in facilities or maybe even hospitals! If that’s not something you want to do then take classes to be a health care aid! So you can work with different agencies and go from place to place changing or even helping residents with showers! There’s a lot of options! Thank you, I really appreciate it 🥺💗

Hi Sabrina! :) My Aunt knows an employer from Canada looking for a live-in caregiver. I am a registered nurse with 2 years of experience here in the PH. Should I go for it? I also had an offer already as nurse in London. I'm really confused. :( The advantage though, if I go to Canada I'm nearer to my family who are in the US.
@Sabbrriinnaag
@Sabbrriinnaag 4 жыл бұрын
Kate Pardilla I do believe that family is important, but you should follow what your heart tells you! Being able to be a nurse would be an amazing opportunity, especially in a place like London! Canada is an amazing place as well, but you will be downgrading to be a caregiver. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but having that opportunity given to you might be something to consider. I’m sure your family will also understand and be very proud of you! So take your time, and think about this carefully! 💗

Veronica Hi! Technically, I didn’t have any experience when I applied to be a caregiver. Which is something that I don’t recommend lol. I mean you could have tons of experience in different areas and get hired, but if you don’t then I suggest volunteering or even working at a elderly daycare! It’s going to give you a lot of insight, and also give you the chance to ask a lot of questions. If you want to be more than just a caregiver then try to go to school to be a CNA. Being a caregiver can only let you go so far in the medical field. So being a CNA will help you to work in facilities or even hospitals!

the number one reason caregiver's get fired is over theft.. please . if your going to doing this .... dont steel from clients ... its not far to them and it will and can end a career before it even gets started..
