I think Connor being an antagonist towards the deviants makes a lot more sense in the story. Connor makes a great antagonist too because the calm delivery of everything he says and how he remains cool and calculated through everything makes him so sinister. I LOVED seeing all the endings the game had to offer, it's a shame it wasn't easier to replay the game because of the terrible checkpoint system!!! I would love to replay from a specific point in a really long chapter, especially the Crossroads chapter, but it makes you start from the very beginning and it's all just very tedious. I ended up looking up walkthroughs to see all the endings there.

yeah, the intro segment of this game is really good imo, it tells you so much about the setting and provides a range of choices that lead up to the confrontation ending in different ways, none of which feel like a purely positive outcome. It also has a lot of shock value due to the player not understanding how androids work in the setting yet, like connor getting shot immediately upon exiting to the balcony or dying in a good chunk of the endings. if more of the game followed smaller scale self contained scenarios like that I think it'd be better for it.

As connor, i made sure the mission was accomplished cuz i figured his programming is especially done to not be attached to anything. As marcus, i was very pacifist and made reasonable demands and actions. As kara, i was kind. Kara died when she gave the family their ticket back, marcus died at the hands of connor and connor, as always, accomplished his mission.

Yep this is how I played my first time as well. I played Connor as the firm but fair android who does his mission and tries to survive, and although I got close to going deviant it wasn't quite enough. For example I shot the girl at the night club fearing for Connor's life, didn't save Hank at the farm, shot the android at Kamskis etc. What's unfortunate is that you only really get rewarded with a satisfying story if you play Connor as a straight up human, which for me broke the immersion a bit. And Kara I played like you, but at the bus station I didn't discover the Rose car exit and instead accidentally ran into a patrol and died :(

My favorite parts of this game were the connor parts. I loved the detective aspects of it. Kinda made me wish that quantic dream would make a batman game in their style. It would be pretty sick to have that detective work and the important choices in a batman game. I know Batman telltale exists, but quantic dream are on a different level graphics and choices wise. A cool way to differentiate would he to have 3 or 4 characters to play as in this batman game. Maybe we could play as Batman, James Gordon, Nightwing, Robin or Batgirl. I think playing as Jim Gordon would be great, because it would be a lot different to the batman or batfamily segments as with Jim you can only utilize the GCPD resources and not all the waynetech. Also since Jim is commissioner you would have to make executive decisons that would not only affect batman and friends, but also the GCPD itself and how they would interact with the vigilantes. You could also have some great interrogation scenes where you make decisions as both jim and batman and choose who is good cop and who’s bad cop. It would be very interesting to have batman be good cop and jim be bad cop. As for Nightwing i think he would be interesting as it would switch locations in his segments to blüdhaven until his part inevitably leads back to gotham. Anyways a game like that would be great.

I never liked how Marcus was instantly seen as the bad one. He’s the one who called. Just because he’s standing next to Carl doesn’t mean he did it. Carl literally says “wait” And even after they shoot could he not have been like “guys what the heck he wasn’t the intruder what’s wrong with you please fix my android.”
