Being authentic is easy, right?

It's been a year now since I've started my journey here on KZbin. This video is me thanking you for your support! It also serves a reminder for me to prioritise authenticity and artistic self expression. From now on I want to make it less about numbers, metrics & comparing myself to others and simply focus on what I do best and love the most: music. This way creative ideas such as new sound design techniques, plugins etc. find their way to me and I'm more able to present them to you with a more "flowy" and positive energy rather than forcing myself to come up new ideas for the sake of the channel's growth. Thank you so much for watching! Hope I was able to spark some inspiration within you.

Kevin. i love this video. One of the reasons i follow you and have become a Patreon is because of your authenticity. You are a very talented artist who could easily be releasing on some of the big name organic house labels. Not only that, your sample packs stand above anything else on the market in terms of quality and function. (Please dont stop making sample packs) lol. As i mentioned on your stream the other day the Scene sadly lacks Authenticity and Congruence. just look at some of the scandles that have taken place this year in regards some of the so called biggest names in the organic house scene getting outed by there ghost producers for non payment. Business and Creativity are very difficult bed fellows. they dont normally go hand in hand. one normally has to suffer for the other to succeed. Success isn't just about money. Its about freedom. Freedom to do what you love every day out of passion. Its a place where creativity can thrive and grow but like anything it has to be nurtured and cared for. i love your channel. it has been super helpful to me along with your tutorials and sample packs. As an older guy Iv been there. Wanted to do it all. Well it takes alot of time. In the old days espectations werent that high, but at the same time most of your soft/hardware were very complicated and timeconsuming to use. Today it is easier to create videos, but espectations are a lot higher as the quality has become very high. I think its a good way to focus on what you like to do and combine with some live streaming and some videos to please YT :-) All the best.

The main reason why I keep watching your videos besides learing more about music production is, you are such a humble nice guy with a good personality! Hey man, this video is refreshing and inspiring.. Although the theme of it is completely different to the other videos and live streams, it is well in line with how you come across if you ask me. Sincere, inspiring and authentic. I've stumbled across your channel some time ago and subscribed straight away. The way you produce, the workflow etcetera, it's just seems like a breeze and that can only be because of one thing: you love the music you make. You kinda radiate that in the videos. :) Also, your videos and some of the techniques you used and the general vibe of the videos inspired me and helped me finish a track and lo and behold, I'm releasing my first EP in February and the second is now in signing process. The love, fun and sincerety you put in your music and your videos is almost tangible, and that's quite cool if you ask me. Hello Kevin. I've been not clicking on your last videos, I felt that someting was off. But I definitely appreciate your true self and the musician part of you. I totally get the business thing and also external influence where you start comparing yourself to others... we don't say this much but this job is not easy. everyone dreams of having that creator lifestyle. ^people forget that you are exposed to the internet and to the algorithm. to social validation, to numbers and dopamine... one needs big wisdom to overcome that. this authentic video is a great step. cheers. Love and agree with the idea behind this video. I’ve become a fan of your videos because I enjoy this style of music and I like to see your process of building tracks and being creative. You stand out from the rest because of your style so I love the idea of staying authentic. Maybe shift your titles to “How I” vs “How to”. Just bought your Afro suite and can’t wait to dive into making music… you’ve inspired me to start making music instead of just DJing.
