I found this interview very informative. I have recently moved to Denmark from UK, I am black BTW. I am currently job hunting and can attest to what the guest is saying. I was invited to an interview few weeks ago to one of the big International Companies few days after I applied. First of all I could see the shock in the hiring manager's when she came for me in the reception area as I do not have a typical African name. I was also shocked thst the hiring manager or HR did not get in touch with me after about the outcome. I have always been skeptical moving here as a black person, I have always asked myself will I have the same opportunities as I had in UK?. The microaggression is real. I had a lot of white people stare at me because I was dressed formally. I was then told it is bcoz they do not expect to see a black person dressed that way... I am going to keep an open mind and see what comes my way.
